STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

Speaking of creatine, can someone just recommend me any type? I want to start getting back on it but dont really follow the good brands or whatnot. Def would like to cop from bb

Optimum is good quality, pretty cheap too for the larger size bottles. Drink plenty of water with it.

Any monohydrate is pretty good and cheap, try and get some made with Creapure.

Glorious day for gains. Wish I made this up but it actually happened.

Spotted someone in some volt Romelos and asked him how he liked it. He said he enjoyed them blah blah, then I asked about leg day and what not. Dude responded I don't train legs or work them out since I don't need to. I was perplexed, and asked him why the shoes or what advantages would make him spend $200 on them. He said stability when I bench and stability for his lifts.

Just nodded and kept it moving.

Can any of you nutrition dudes give me the run down on egg yolks?

I've always had high cholesterol and heart problems run in my family.

Last time I got blood works in 2008, my LDL levels were 253. I have since taken on a healthier lifestyle and quit smoking. Haven't checked since then...

But what's the deal with egg yolks? For every 10 articles that claim its bad, theres 3-4 that says it does nothing to LDL cholesterol.

I've always laid off egg yolks due to my levels...but they're such a good source of cheap protein.

you can consume a few yolks, some dont overboard.

some will say it affects your cholesterol and some say it wont.

I have high cholesterol as well, everyone on my dads side had it a long with heart problems. mines under control now but i still consume yolks, not a lot but if i eat eggs ill use 2-3 yolk and 7 whites scrambled.

if i go out to eat and have eggs, it will be 3 whole eggs scrambled.

i did the 10 eggs a day for like 4 months straight and my blood tests were never better :pimp:

as long as you live a healthy lifestyle, no smoking then i think you should be totally fine consuming the yolks. its most likely not gonna do a damn thing if anything should help you with all the benefits of the yolks/whole egg

I was looking for a 5 x 5 program and stumbled on this site http://stronglifts.com/.

There's an app for it on Android and iPhone.

A Simple Workout To Get Stronger
For guys who want to gain strength, build muscle or lose weight
Three exercises, three times a week, 45 minutes per workout
With free apps to track your workouts

App is pretty clean and easy to use.

You're feet don't have to be perfectly straight, in fact pointing outwards is quite normal. Just make sure you're legs track your feet.

I cringe when I see dudes put plates on their heels, it does not simulate the feel of lifting shoes at all. If you can't push heavy weight with proper form, lose the ego and work on form/mobility. Some of the regulars in this thread are guilty of this, using lack of flexibility and/or mobility as an excuse to use poor form in order to move weight.
Get trained or go to a better gym, doesn't even have to be CrossFit, there are tons of barbell/olympic clubs out there. Bench Press IS the universal show of power, because that is the one lift all the regular joes have mastered. Snatch isn't, it's more about power+explosion. I would say Squat is, but most people don't know how to squat,

Ive never been the type to bring my ego into the gym. I have dropped the weight in order to work on my form and have been doing lots of mobility work, I was just curious about whether or not having a lift underneath my heels helping my form was a direct indicator of a particular mobility issue. I would assume it means i should do some mobility work on my ankles or calves right?

It's not really a mobility/flexibility issue at all. It's a balance issue. An elevated heel in a lifting shoe or placing weights under the heels help someone to sit deeper into a squat without losing balance.

I'm only at about 8 but when I start cutting next month, I'll be at 10 or more most days.
