STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

Just put together my off day for today lol

i can do muscle ups. i don't do them in my workouts, but i've done them a few times with friends at the gym.

Staying in San Jose for a few days gonna hit up the golds near me. I'm excited. Ihope they don't charge a lot for a day pass

Steadly increasing my squat weight, hoping to be able to do a full set of 225 without pause in a few weeks.

Oh and before yall question, I just started incorporating squats in my workout routine a month ago. I would do it just whenever, no consistency. I would have sore thighs for days and not do it for like 4 - 6 weeks. Now thats its in my routine no more sore thighs, love the feeling too.

No matter how much experience you've got, if you're not waddling after leg day, you're not doing it right.

Nah. I go extra hard every leg day and i dont waddle the next day. Sore? Yes. Takes 50 mins to sit on the toilet to ****? Yes. But nothing crazy

Debatable. Soreness =/= effective workout.

I was exaggerating, but to not experience soreness after leg day is unusual

Kali is a freak

Yeah. All that good carbs from Ramen while keeping his sodium intake to under 2000mg makes him a monster.

I agree. I always feel soreness, but the level varies. I might feel soreness the week after leg day, but not limp. Other times, it's like I tore something.

I've literally have had something in my mouth every 30 minutes today. I'm full and I have more family coming over for round 8 of eating.

My gym, which is usually open every Saturday morning, is closed tomorrow too. Go figure.

Does anyone wear Chucks at the gym? I know powerlifters will wear them but I'm wondering if they are good for all-purpose use. All I do there is sit, stand, and use low impact cardio machines so what's the point of buying expensive sneakers.

it's not gonna make a big difference what footwear you wear. definitely not on the bench press, squat & DL probably at higher weights like ~300? a few people on here bought romaleo's, maybe they can share their opinion on the their worth....

I didn't say after 'leg day', I said after squats. When Im doing legs, of course I'm sore and can't feel my lower body

Picked these up at the conference. Been looking for em for a while now.

Yea black/red is nice, I'm thinking volt or white/black. Haha thanks, yea I usually squat in whatever and just lace em tight but it's time to upgrade significantly

What are you guys using for pre-workouts? Working grave shift now and my body is all messed up...need something to get me going til my body adjust to my new schedule.

Heck can't even figure out if I should workout at 7am when I get off or around 3-4pm when I wake up...:smh:
Preworkout? CT Fletcher Youtube vids.

What shoes is everyone using to lift?

I've been reading that wrestling shoes are the way to go? Thoughts? Models that are good?

thanks

I lift in reebok nanos. I'm pretty sure I'd do the olympic lifts better in olympic lifting shoes but I don't want to confuse my body too much. I'm already used to the flatness of the nanos. If I let myself get used to the elevated heel in the olympic shoes I'm pretty sure I'll lose balance when I switch back to the nanos  for certain workouts.
