I feel it when I DL, I get dizzy and see stars for a bit. Goes away quick.

Is there such a thing as too much protein? Gonna see a urologist for urinary frequency and lately my kidneys have been hurting. Dont know if its just muscle there being sore from DL but eh.

Yes taking too much protein is a problem..
 
I want to take depth out of squat. I squat as low as I can possibly go, and I feel like my squat would progress at a much higher rate by taking some depth out. However, whenever I try to just break past my hips, it just doesn't feel natural.

What would yall recommend for this?
 
Saw this youngin' fold over from squats, luckily he was squatting in a rack with pins.

It definitely looked like it hit him in the ego (had the same thing happen to me a while back and I felt embarrassed as hell afterwards). I went up to him and gave him a thumbs up and we chopped it up for a bit. I told him about the 531 Wendler program cuz he wanted to get his squats up.

Felt good to help out a fellow gym goer...

That's a sad gym. When I failed in the squat rack I had people id never even acknowledged run over to help me out.

No one was laughing.

I personally wouldn't but in competition going too deep can be a bad thing. Its impossible to use any stretch reflex if you're purposely cutting them high which can make it very difficult. Squatting should feel natural that's for sure.

got 315 yesterday for 9. (Personal PR)

i've been keeping my legs to narrow in. I finally put them a bit wider. got down further. (although the more narrow felt better.)
My legs were normally aabout an inch in from the outside of my shoulders. I spread them to exactly shoulder length.

damn it hurt. but felt damn good. that 5-3-1 def is working and having a partner who is of equal strength to me (stronger lower body, and i have a stronger upper body but roughly the same) helps.
 
got a fitbit charge (already had the flex) and aria for Christmas? what wearable tech fitness gadgets do you guys  wear?

Lmao gained like 3 pounds today...eating gumbo and other crap haven't ran in a couple of days thinking about going in dirty bulk mode
