Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Disappointed in this thread.
Having someone like Pinoy start this thread would be like having dalitso start this thread and claim he is "dressing better":smh:
We don't even know if Pinoy dresses better, he didn't post any of his fit pics.:x
The only people that should be allowed to start a dressing better thread is niidawg, rfx, aceofjays and ksteezy.
Those dudes dress like they could be on the cover of GQ or on the Mad Men set.

Ahh yes, it was only a matter of time before this troll came into the thread. After the Olympic Dream Team thread, and the Futbol thread, I've realized that all you do is troll.

Aren't you the guy who's still trying to dress like The Dream?

Btw, I remember seeing Pinoy posting a few fits, and everyone from the BY era will probably remember his fits, I re-call some of them being quite sharp.

also, anyone who cares to be upset at the lack of fits in this thread or think i am whack/mediocre/etc. please share with us your style. maybe my fits are not your cup of tee but to each his own fambs.

I'm looking for slimmer pants, but not skinny jeans.  Any recommendations?  Right now most of my jeans are Slim Straight Levi's, but they are too big.

Moneymike, you might want to consider these: Levi 521 Slim Taper....I have a few pairs of 514s and one pair of these, and I find myself wearing the 521 way more often it fits well def not skinny but not as wide of an opening on the lower leg as 514's

Literally balling, my man got the shorts for a pick up game right after the photo opt! JK

That's a great pick up. Noticed it says "Burberry's". The brand changed from Burberry's to Burberry about a decade or so ago. I read the story on the new marketing head behind the concept, I think the head is the reason why the brand is where it is today. There is an article on it from Harvard Business Review. You can search for it if you're interested. I intentionally did not want to link it because you should technically pay for it, but you can find ways around it as well.

Pinoy and the gang are definitely above the rest of the college population when it comes to dressing up. I didn't even own a suit until well after graduation. I'm sure their swag will continue to swaggerfy exponentially when they land well paying jobs that will allow them to buy superlative items.

I'm not a big denim fan, but here's a picture of me in my only pair of jeans, APC New Cure. It's slimmer than the Levi 514 line, but the leg openings are a bit larger than the Levi 511. The leg openings are around 7.5"

How much did you size down from 511's, if you don't mind me asking?

I've had a pair of New Standards (in a 28) for about 4 years now and I was contemplating getting New Cures cause I wanted something a bit more slimming, a little slimmer than the 511 but not 510 fit.

I wore a size 31 in Levi 511. The APC New Cure is a size 30. I know a lot of people size down a lot with APCs, but my jeans never stretched. I actually had a pair of New Standard in a size 29 that never stretched. Even the SA told me to size down one because it would stretch out to be a 30. I wore them quite a bit, and it never gave that extra inch so I just gave the jeans away. I bought the New Cure in the size 30 to replace it.

Levi's have slimmer fits. I stopped wearing the slim straights for the same reason. I switched over to 513's. I also have a pair of slim RRL's that i'm still breaking in. The legs fit pretty slim.

Definitely appreciate it,

Do you mind me asking how much you weigh/how tall you are?

And how do you like the fit compared to the NS?

I've heard so many different things about the new APC's that I'm a little worried ordering them online.

Sorry for the questions, but the help is more than appreciated. SUFU was such a pain to go through haha

APC is still a great bang for your buck IMO, but I'm not a denim junkie so I can't see myself getting an expensive pair of jeans from Dior or PJB or the likes.

I'm 5'9'' at 155 lbs. The fit of the New Cure in a 30 is pretty perfect for me. The New Standard in a 29 was great except the waist was tight since I was advised to size down one. The New Standard in a 30 was great around the waist, but was a bit loose on the seat and thighs.

Here's a couple of pix of the NS in size 29. Note that I had them hemmed to 32" or so for a bit of stacking where as the NC has no stacking at all.

Got my APC Petite Standards for $70 on sale at Nordstrom a year ago. Great pair and really can't beat that price. It's all about the sizing so I really suggest going to the store and trying them on first to see which fits you before ordering online. Got to consider the stretching of the jeans too.

I tried to get a pair of PS on, they were stuck on the calves and I threw up the white flag. They were like my Under Armour compression pants

Just want to share this pic. Bespoke: 2nd fitting at the Armoury in Hong Kong. Not me BTW
