I've said this years ago and I'll say it again. Nters are like brothers, they pick on each other when there's nothing to do. But as soon as there's an outsider threating one of them, the bickering is put aside and a new target is aimed at.

In hindsight, it's unfair though. This guy works in the field and has the marketing of GQ as his backing. We need to take this to social media too!

I do think it is completely unfair that this dude is from GQ and is participating. Definitely will have to be something that they need to consider.

Type R I love your style dude. I've only seen a few fit pics from you from the time I've spent in the thread but every single one has been SICK.

Steezy, I've voted for you on my computer and several others around campus today, trying to keep the fam in the lead! :lol: I actually do like your fit the best though, you and I share very similar taste in clothing.

I like that casual fit with the Yeezys, but like someone said you need to wear a longer shirt/sweater to make that look work. Otherwise it just looks really disproportional.

slow and steady wins the race, i really appreciate how this forum comes together, its crazy but is like Wis said, because even dudes that always throw shots have shown support, really humbled by the sense of brotherhood of this board.
 

This is great marketing, I actually really liked this advertisement. Seems a lot like an Apple commercial though. :nerd:

Getting a couple of custom suits made and I have a question about pockets - are slanted pockets out of style or considered trendy or does it not matter? What about the ticket pocket?

Van: custom suits as in bespoke or MTM? If true bespoke, I would think twice and make sure you really know what you want. I've seen some really awful bespoke suits as a result of the customer not knowing what to ask for.

Ticket pocket was/is popular in the UK since the primary method of transportation is by train, hence the name. I have ticket pockets on all of my suits except for the ones with patch pockets. Some ticket pockets are overlapped as well, and others are normal, and a couple are slanted and overlapped.

It does not really matter, man. You can't follow what's in, especially with suits. Go with what you like and assuming you can retain your physique, you'll have a great suit to wear for years to come.

Vancity74, to add to Wisith's points, definitely do your research before, whether MTM or Bespoke but especially if you are going the Bespoke route. If you are going Bespoke, where are you located and who are you going with? Regarding slanted pockets, it's all about personal preference. On my bespoke suit my pockets are slanted and on my MTM suit they are also slanted. In addition, I have ticket pockets on both. I went in knowing what I wanted into my first bespoke experience. Stick to basics, do not go crazy with pick-stitching, contrast buttonholes, etc.
