Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Speaking of JCP, a respectable firm predicts they will go under next year. They made a list of 10 companies that won't survive the economy. They publish yearly and their batting average is quite high.

Whats funny is The CEO they just kicked out was kicked out of Apple Retail, I found it funny going into the store and they were using iPads (ala Apple Store) for checkout and the sales reps didnt know what how to use them.

I`d hate to see people lose their jobs, but I will rack up if they have a going out of business sale. I think they could do a JCP spinoff to compete with H&M because they have very good quality clothes its just that nobody young will walk inside of a JC Penny. they could open stand alone shops like how Gap has Old Navy, BR, etc.

they are on that list every year

Shady I just picked up the photographer suit. Came out to $166

Sarteaga, my suit arrives tues. but I went by jcp to try it on again. I wear a 42R and it fits well. Also like lucky already stated, the jcp sale is crazy. I picked up 3 sweater and 3 polo style shirts for $14.

I can confirm that they are probably going under. But I hope not, hate to see stores like this go under after so many years. They should hire someone from Sears.

Definitely going to check out that sale though!

I'm taking it back tonight. The glen plaid pattern is much more subdued online at the gray is lighter online as well, in person the gray is darker and the shade of blue is darker than what's online and just not liking it, on top of that overall bad fit. I will definitely check out the sale regardless though, $116 back into the pocket as of now though.

I know I posted awhile ago about if I should wear the powder blue double breasted suit to a wedding and but I decided against it and went with this instead:
400

400

First time I've caught a J. Crew Factory 50% off. I just picked up a pair of shorts and a seersucker short sleeve. If I wasn't going on vacation next weekend man I would have went in :\

$166 for the whole suit? Did you have another coupon or something?

Been wanting to do this DIY project for some time. Slimmed down a "fat", vintage tie, from 3.5in to 2.5in. Difficult if you don't have any hand sewing experience. Took about an hour to complete.

1) Find a tie you like, to copy the width.
2) Take off the label.
600

3) Unstitch the tie to the point where both ties are the same width.
4) You'll uncover the piece fabric that gives the tie its shape. Use your already slim tie as a guide to cut that fabric into the new width.
600

5) Press the tie to eliminate previous creases.
6) Fold over both sides along the piece you cut. Make sure the ends are on a straight line. Press down.
600

7) Hand sew back together using the "invisible stitch" method.
8 ) Hand sew the label back on.
600

9) Enjoy your new slim tie.

Awesome job Jerald. Always had a feeling it was simple but just never gave it a try. Will definitely have a go at this next time I'm out thrifting. :pimp:

Seconded, that's a great way to "customize" any tie to the style you want...I'm gonna hit up goodwill and buy some cheap ones for like 2 bucks and try that out next week :smokin Repped

I stopped by the outlets today and holy cow...it was a mad house. Lots of sales and people. I only stopped by Barneys and Nike outlet. Barneys had a lot of great deals, especially on denim...lots of Rag and Bone, Naked and Famous, Nudie, etc. under $100.

Nc23 I grabbed the older, navy version of the photographer suit. They have a new navy color which is more expensive.
