Anyone own the Alpha Industries MA-1 bomber?
I found an army surplus on the bay selling the OG cut for about half price but am unsure if the fit will just be too big. Thoughts?

My dad has one and it's a generous fit. I'm pretty sure they're supposed to fit pretty big anyway...

For that range I'd look into Orient and Seiko dive watches..I got an Orient Blue Ray a couple years ago for about $150 and I wear it almost every day. Some other guys in here can probably chime in about owning Orients as well. I also like the Orient Bambino, which is a little on the dressier side.

Saw you post in the SF MA-1 thread. Unless maroon catches your eye for the reissued, you are likely SOL.

There's the Valor slim fit on amazon with some colors for $84-ish but they got some tacky screen print on it and no arm pockets (that's the deal breaker for me).

just cop the regular one off the Alpha Industries website. That is what I did. I did not get the slim fit, because I don't think it has the orange lining, which I like a lot.
Im a slim dude, 5'8 145. The Small fit fine, granted it is kind of baggy, that is how it is supposed to look. Quality is great for the price.

Those are variations of balmoral boots. From the pictures, they look like they were taken by Leffot or Skoaktiebolaget. Probably going to be shelling out over $1k as I think those are EGs or JLs on the lower picture.[

I love the Ramseys. It's a decent deal as that last is made up for NMWA. They fit true to size. Size down 1 from your US sizing in dress shoes so if you take 10 US in say Allen Edmonds, most likely a 9 UK will fit.

Has anyone ever tried to buy something overseas but the seller wants you to send the money to his bank account. It seems sketchy and not secure in my end.

Depends what you're buying. It's common for high end watches. I wire the money into the account of the establishment based on the east coast for my iwc. I talked to him before and he's well respected in the community. Other folks do it too. PayPal fees and such can add up when you're buying 5 figure items.
I would never do it for a random Ebay auction though.
