I have to agree with that sentiment. I was amped to get my JE Villain and Mercer tee's in the mail a few months back after trying them on at Atrium. While I love the fit and design with the RiRi zippers and kangaroo pouch, at the end of the day, it is still a hoodie. I'm happy though, but yeah, reality set in after a few wears lol

Got an honest question here, been looking for a part time gig since I moved to Chicago. After a couple months landed not only one part time but a second. Would you guys chose between 20% of at Bloomingdale's or 40% at Nike?

Nice! I'm in and around the Chi. all the time . . . you workin' at the bloomies and Nike Store on Mich. Ave? And I'm imagining Bloomies pays you on commission, right? You probably could stack there rather nicely.

Definitely go with what pays more or gives the best benefits outside of discounts.

If it is purely on discount, I guess Nikes is better? 20% for Bloomies aren't that great, every time I call or chat with customer service they give me a new 20% off code. They also always have big discounts in their stores, they just had a $25 off every $100 you spend in the store and that is in addition to discounted items already. The 20% employee discount is only relevant if you if you can stack it with sale items and promotions then it becomes significant.

With Nike, if you can get that on new releases or even on items that do not usually go on sale like tech fleece then it is better in my point of view even if I do not buy as much Nikes. You can also flip stuff and make additional money.

Plus I think it is more fun working at Nike, my cousin worked at a Nike outlet and those dudes just kicked backed and the store even sent them to other Nike Store events. He was sent to NY or Chicago or Boston during a marathon Nike sponsored and he got lots of free gear too and got to travel for free.

Bloomise seems stressful as they might hassle you if you do not meet your commission goals.

Working at the Bloomies on Wabash but yeah the Nike store on Michigan Ave.

Yeah you can stack the deals with the employee discount at Bloomies but their tight wads.. Nike would be a lot more relaxed and as a second time job that's what I would want.

Speaking on JE with any brands that start getting high in price it really comes down to the fit, uniqueness and the use of decent fabric. But yes nothing clothing wise will ever be life changing ( I hope :lol:

I'm pretty confident it wasn't JE, if we're talking about split side hems. Higher fashion luxury brands were probably on that a while ago. Where is RFX to make sense.

Balmains been doing the side zip on their hoodies and sweatshirts for a while now. Thought to be fair, I believe there were some tactical/hunting jackets that incorporated that zipper to making gears/weapons easier to access in harsh terrains?

Bunch of "goth ninja" brands been doing been doing the long and slim tee with uneven hem too. There has actually been a big demand on this for a while now as most hated it when tees simply shrunk after a wash.

JE just made it cheaper (in comparison) and more accessible (providing an alternative) with cheaper but more durable materials. The new sportwear and "being healthy" trend definitely helped with the popularity though.

This why I like the side zips/slits. Now that I'm back to carrying a weapon. It makes for easier access. Damn near dropped my firearm a couple times trying get it out which is very bad. I even have my damn near 50yr old boss buying reign storm. My unit is going to look crazy.
