Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Anyways, moving on....

I'd go with a Gap peacoat...the one I just posted is from Gap...just think Gap might be better quality and the price difference isn't much...

I love toggle/duffle coats, I have one and even a chunky. substantial sweater with toggles. While I'm sure the Old Navy one is really affordable, I just don't like the look of it. I like that the toggles contrast but the toggles are not substantial enough for my liking. They just seem like an afterthought and the rope being hidden under the seam diminishes the accent that makes the coat look great.
A Baboon Cow is like the FutureMD of clothing. So determined to get a reaction and take over a thread.

Don't compare me to that kid.

And YOU WERE THE FIRST TO SAY HIS ATTIRE LOOKS LIKE A UNIFORM!!!.

Hey fellas,

I was pretty set on getting these Onitsuka Tiger sneakers:

but then the New Balance 574s were posted here and I kinda like those too:

Which ones do y'all think are a better option? Both are about the same price wise

Is there a pair that is more plain in the same style? The big N and the OTs design is a bit too much for my liking.

I do think I like the Nike Air Vortex Vintage over those 2, I know it has the big Nike swoosh as a log as well but I guess I am a bit biased because it just looks better and I think I just do not view the swoosh as logo anymore either. I also prefer teh Pre-Montreal Racer Vintage as well.

I can get the old navy for $40 shipped though.

I understand the principle of saving and buying a piece that will last but for that price I think it would be worth it even if it only lasts a season so I can save for a nicer one

I thought the Old navy pea coats had some pretty decent reviews though am i wrong? :nerd:

Gotdamn, i guess no one's gonna help me pick out a NYE fit. :frown:

Bro If I was dressing up for a nice NYE party, I'd find a velvet blue tux jacket, something with the black lapels, I've seen some in one of my local malls, a black Bowtie, white shirt, and the tux pants you posted...I'd do it up just like that man...lol

I'm a NB dude esp the 574's I have like 5/6 pairs of them so I'm biased and say the NBs

Last NYE I wore a white dress shirt, waist coat, and dress trousers. All were from cheap brands because I suspected, and did get alcohol spilled all over.

I really like that Old Navy toggle but I never buy anything there besides their plain t-shirts.  Is the quality that poor?  For $70 it's got to be pretty poor.  My peacoat and other winter jackets were all retail for $200+.  Not sure I'm going to be happy with it, plus it's only available online apparently.

If it's that bad, does anyone have any similar looking toggles they know of?

Dapper Gents, need your opinion on what to get

Looking for a coat to pretty much wear everyday to work over a button up and slacks.

Looking for the best bang for my buck so I stumbled upon these 2 pieces from Old Navy

MY question is which one should I go with? Leaning towards peacoat but like the toggle as well just because its diff but not sure I like the light lining in the hood, etc..

I just got the blue one and really liked it. i got it for 37.50 shipped and ordered a black one after i received the blue one for the same price. people say that ON jackets fit boxy, but it fit me fine so i guess i have a boxy figure

i realized why i never bought them when i saw them in old navy. the material looks like **** in store on every single jacket cuz i guess its always rubbing on all the other coats and is being tried on constantly and the material looks raggedy as hell. i was surpised as hell how smooth it was when i got it at home. i doubt itll last that long looking that smooth so i dont think these jackets are good for the long term unless you take a lint shaver to it all the time.

if you dont need the coat right away, uniqlo has great deals at the end of the season. i got really nice grey toggle coat for 79.99 in february of this yr and its a really thick nice jacket.

Uniglo peacoat is only $99...online shopping down right now due to Sandy

those peacoats run MAD small. i got a xl in my room now i got to return tmrw. see if i can get XXL. XL fits like a L..if not M.

i got a toggle button coat and it true to size for me. im a big guy and normally wear l-xl depending on fit and xl fit fine for me at uniqlo. so although on the smaller end, not by much.

Whoa, i feel the love bruhs, but my previous inquiry is below.

I had a great 2012. Graduated college. Working in downtown Chicago. So i just wanted to celebrate this year and bring in the new year a little more sartorially than my college days. The shindig, per se, is still up in the air. My boys and I have a downtown condo rented out. So we may do something there all night or head out. I still want a dapper look for the night. Like i said, i'm pretty sold on the midnight blue/navy look. I provided those links below, but i'm definitely open for any help/advice/links you guys may have.

I'm not tryna break the bank, cuz when me and my boys get together, we have a hell of a time and i dont want to be walking on eggshells cuz of my suit.

Thoughts on this as a NYE outfit, guys. Definitely looking for the navy/midnight blue look

Adding to the sneaker mixture
Great mix of colors there. Loving the top down effect of denim softening the tone of the plaid, and the plaid lending itself to the Khaki, down to the contrast of the Black and White kicks.

Nice look right there.
