Dressing Better Vol 2.0

My brother has some warby parkers. They're nice af, and he gets complements all the time.

Whats wrong with them?

They are attempting to be like the Warby Parker of suits and eliminating the middle man. All I know is that basically everything is outsourced to sweatshops in china so I'm sure labor is super cheap

My glasses are Warby Parker and they've been nothing but good to me so yeah.

Exactly. China isn't even that cheap anymore for labor. Folks are moving around now. With menswear declining since its peak a couple years ago, I wonder how many more mtm suiting brands will emerge or go under. I hate it when kids refer to menswear as dapper

Nah I know he didnt bash them. I'm typing lazy, I actually read that article that called them the Warby Parker of suiting which is why I posed the initial question, because if they really have quality worthy of that moniker then I will be all over Combatant Gent.

Thats what I should have initially typed.

I heard the quality of wp glasses are okay. Was going to try them out before my prescription ran out but didn't feel like commuting to the city. Went to Costco instead and got some pretty good frames that fit my face nicely. Spent $220 though. Frames were only $100. The damn lenses cost more. Hate having bad eyeseight.

Hey guys I'm looking for some pants for work. Preferably wool or cotton dress pants, not chinos. Looking for alternatives to J Crew Bowery slim. Love the fit and quality, but just want to see other options. Would like some that are a little different from just the black, grey, and navy wool pants. Preferably around $60-$80.

anyone know how cole haan boots fit compared to clark DBs? i wear a 8 in clarks should i stick with that for cole haan boots?

Just stick with them. Try the Ludlow cut if they want suiting materials. Not many other options at that price point with better quality.

Yeah that's what I thought. I like their unique materials. Guess I'll just wait for a 30% off where the Bowery pants are included. Should've gotten them last week when they were included during one of the one day sales.

Can anyone recommend a good tailor in NY. Preferably in Queens. I bought the photographer suit from Express and the pants need some work done. Thanks

How much did you get it for? I'm actually gonna go there today to get one.

Any suggestions on where I can find a weekender like that of Combatant Gent? I saw the Hook & Albert version but I want to see if I can buy something similar for a cheap price.
