Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Can anyone school me as to why we have to rip open the seams of the pockets in blazers, suit jackets, sport coats, etc? Is it just a sign of it being "DS?"
On more than one occasion, I've overheard a guy say "damn! all these blazers have fake pockets!"

That's basically the idea, it also gives the suit a better profile while you're in the store

thanks Wis, i wish professors over here added a bonus for dressing up. so many people seem to not care unless they are specifically told too. hell, the basketball player in my group showed up in sweats and a white tee :rolleyes
oh well, professor smiled when she saw i took the initiative to dress nicely for it, so hopefully she'll take that into consideration for my grade :D
I used to really dislike group work/presentation in undergrad because I always had underachiever(s)

Look at the bright side, man. You learn more, which increases your work ethic which in the long run should equate more $$. My friends and I use to say "it's time to go into LeBron mode" when you become a one person team due to the dead weight.

Dressing up isn't everything, but it plays a part of the whole picture. You don't even have to wear a tie, just be presentable and not like you're about to go play a pick up game at the park.

Great comment. I thinking going for timeless is always a good way to go, not to say being creative or different is bad or anything (because I like being creative/different too. I guess the time/environment/atmosphere has a lot to with things.
You can definitely add some of your own twists to the timeless look, too, such as bright socks, adding cuffs on trousers,, going for tabs on trousers instead of belt loops, etc.

You can do both. Some days I wear suits because I feel like wearing suits. Some days I feel like wearing leather jacket and jeans.

Penfield x Staple done did it again with this jacket. This is good.

Only called it carrot cuz that's what I saw posted when I was on the hunt for them when I searched up some tapered

Also, for the Secret Santa participants: can you all please make a post when you receive your gift? Pictures and outfits would be wonderful, but at least let us know you got something so we can ensure no one is left out and the program is a success. Thanks

I will never purchase from Penfield again. They closed all accounts from Uptown New York where majority of African American resides. They were selling out left and right. I guess they're not trying to attract urban inner city people. :smh:

can anyone vouch for any great skin cleanser products?

i'm in my early 20s - (22), and i'm starting to break out slightly and i use a cleaner daily

What accounts did they close? Were they high-end/boutique/lifestlye type accounts?

It seems to me, looking at their store locator, that the accounts that they are in are more of that type. I've seen many brands re-establish themselves from being urban to more high-end lifestyle type brands and vice versa.

I think a lot of people on here use Kiehls but it just never showed me any results, I switched to Clinique and have seen much better results. I alternate daily between the face wash and face scrub and use dark spot corrector twice daily...

It all depends on your skin type and how sensitive it is. I've tried a lot of them from middle school to now, ranging from Clinique to Chanel to the other stuff sold at department stores. This segment is so competitive that it's really hard to pick one over its competition.

Jos A Bank has cedar shoe trees for $7.50 w/free shipping. Don't know how quality is, never bought anything from them but good price for cedar show trees.

Very good point, I should have mentioned I have dry skin which is fairly sensitive and these seem to work the best for me...

The Vault in Harlem. I spoke with the people there and gave me the heads up about it.
