Trust both can work together but for myself if I got on rrl denim , I'm gonna have a rrl top no matter I guess it's the OCD inme. Also I'm just so used to how rrl fits now. Also I love blue and grey and it seems those are the 2 primary colors rrl use .

Overall, I didn't love Rugby. There were a few joints a year that I did really like however. Unfortunately, the fit on the brand was a no-go for me, and therefore I don't own anything from the line.
 
Yes it also seemed rugby was a reginal thing to me . Saw no one in atl with it or out in Cali , only the east coast and dmv heads .

In NYC rugby had a pretty decent following especially younger people. If you were in high school or in your early 20's and wanted to get fly rugby was a go too. Not to sure how it was received among the older hardcore lo heads.

Funny thing is that patchwork cardy was 800 and the vest was 500. If that vest was a full on cardy it probably would easily been 1200. Also since I got some peeps up with me what do y'all think I should price these at for when the time comes ? I'm trying to get rid of 70 percent of what I got . Like what should pants, shirts, jackets, and shoes go for.

Yeah, I have decided I need a size down in that too. Didn't have the S during the sale, had it a few days ago though. I'm gonna have to hollar at you cause I'm debating if I should risk exchanging the M I have for a S or if I should just sell it and try to cop at a *ahem* discount.

Those shorts are fire man, love the aerial with the coconut. I knew when I seen em in person there was no way I could do it, I just refuse. You pulled em off well though.

See there was only a few joints I liked a year too but I loved Rugby. The skull motif was dope. And since it was for the college crowd you got some really nice varsity themed pieces on the regular. Not to mention those chief heads. For what it was I feel like it was done really well. I'm still putting cats up on rugby and they don't even make it anymore. :rofl:

Yep your pricing is spot on. I got both that vest and the cardigan in Marshalls last winter for under $100. That was steep clearance tho. They were probably $200-$300 a piece in there regularly. If they are XXL I would think you should get at least a couple bills each. Unless you wanna set a high BIN and wait. The cardigan might be worth doing that, the vest probably not as much. I'd hold on to em til fall.

Hammer - Yes that does work like a charm as long as they sell the same item, some items are exclusive to RL.com and vice versa

As far as the whole RRL vs RL discussion, I don't think I could ever switch to just RRL or even mostly, I feel like I don't have enough options. The denim is great but the RL line which has been great these past few seasons has offered plenty. Currently I have mostly RL and a sprinkle of RRL, mostly denim. My other issue is that RRL is so overpriced, even on discount sometimes I see items that are underwhelming. The materials just don't seem worth the coin, and the sizing is so damn inconsistent I'm always nervous wondering if the item will fit or not. On the other hand there are some RRL items that have blown me away so I am always looking and keeping my eyes peeled. It seems the glory days of RRL were prior to when it became available on the website :smh: . As far as Rugby I miss it, yeah it definitely appealed to a younger demographic but they sold clothing that you could wear at any age, I purchased a lot of cardigans, chinos, rugby's, and oxfords with no logos at all and things like that are timeless. The price point was great, and the sales were like steals.. I wish it wasn't scrapped. At the time I found myself on Rugby all the time and not on RL, I felt like I was getting more bang for my buck.
 
Legend, just keep me in mind on the hides when you start downsizing.
The hooded flag knit is my favorite...it was a Belk exclusive in the southern region. Still kicking myself for passing on it during a business trip.


Great thoughts on the labels guys. I have a healthy.mix of Polo, Purple, and RRL. I don't prefer one label over the other. All I need is quality materials, quality construction, no visible logos, and that unique rugged/lux look. Which ever label this falls under, I'll take it.

I have stayed away from 99% of Black Label, Rugby. D&S, and back then also stayed away from Polo Jeans Co., and 99% of Polo Sport. Not that the pieces were bad, I just have/had a feeling that these brands don't/didn't have the types of collections that would keep them afloat.
 
Macys and Dillard's never let me return anything if it's not from them and if it doesn't have the proof of purchase sticker from their store

they get fired for that type of stuff on my side
 
the only other thing i would add about RRL is that a lot of their pieces are very "costumey". if you go full RRL with certain pieces you look like a train conductor.
