Have like 4 pairs of sneakers to sell and my days as a sneaker head, hate that word, are over. Grew out of it and all I wear are vans and other shoes. Will try to contribute to this thread more often.
Vans are just so versatile depending on the model and color way you get. Also good that they're cheap, for the most part lol.

Congrats my dude. Been trying to go cold turkey forever but just can't kick the habit. I'll eventually come to terms with knowing that I can still appreciate and partake in the culture without investing so heavily in it.
I will say Vans have been a lovely alternative in helping to ween me off the more expensive sneakers. I just picked up a couple of Sk8 HI CA Premium Zips at the outlet during my lunch break. One pair was the Blanc de Blanc and the other was the Coffee Beans. Paid less than a $100 for both pair combined. For the look and feel they were an absolute steal. I'll post picks when I get home. Love the hell out of SK8 Hi's!!!

I'm in the same spot. Can't really stop buying Nikes but have cut down on BS Jordan releases heavily over the past few years. Pretty much down to buying AF1 and any steals I can find.
Vans collection has been growing consistently based off price and lack of hype. Plus love how versatile the shoes are.

This is me as well. I go to the nike outlet and will only buy og retros on heavy sale. Usually end up with nothing most trips. However the vans outlet directly across from it, I've already prospered.
The b ball retros I wear don't really look that great if you just throw on any old random outfit.
Van's I can rock with almost any pants or shorts without thinking twice.
When I reach for vans so much it makes the thought of a 300$ Canadian pair of kobes hilarious for casual wear.
With buy one get one half off I could get 15 plus pairs of vans for that price

In absolute love with these bad boys and got them both for less than $100 combined. The level of detail and craftsmanship make these feel like a steal. My local Vans outlet has been clutch lately and these will be in heavy rotation. Click the photos to see that material. So nice...

Old school lows are the ones that look kind of like sk8 hi's right? Might have to pick up a pair. Wonder if they can be had under retail.

Old skools are lows and the only similarity between them and sk8 HIs is the Jazz stripe on the side. Old skools look my like OG 36s.

You shouldn't have an issue finding them at a price you're willing to pay. You should find out if there is a a vans outlet near you.
