As implied above, I mean I see why it's a story, but was anyone REALLY shocked by this?

I'm pretty sure this team is a Texas powerhouse so it doesn't surprise me. I remember my man USABasketall08 showed me a picture of his schools stadium and it was ridiculous. These Texas schools take their football serious

Is football popular in Texas or something guys?

Popular should be an understatement, High School Football is like a religion down here,

I'm not surprised it was Allen, They're one of the best teams every year. I remember seeing Baylor and Oklahoma assistant coaches at a High School game, Dudes down here get heavily recruited. Two of the best 5A teams going at it. People drive and go to other towns just to see these 5A games.

Those stadiums get packed during playoff time, So a big stadium is necessary, But 60 Million? :wow: :x :wow:

All these HS down here just focus on Football, The HS I went to spent 5M for an indoor football practice thing (which was amazing), and not a lick towards soccer, baseball, or basketball. :smh:

Pretty good HSFB team plus it's in the upper-middle class section of suburban Dallas. They can afford it.

Is it just me or does the link point back to this page?

Yep, typical Texas high school

Growing up in the Dallas area; I never realized how serious Texas took their high school football. The way it's taken so seriously seemed "normal" to me until I moved out to Arizona for college and then saw how the culture was for high school football and my mind was blown at how apathetic it seemed compared to Texas :wow: even though there are seemingly a decent amount of big name recruits in my area of town every year
