WZRD was good though. It's good, not great, just like Indicud.

Enjoyed 8 out 11, so its good.

To me Cudi hasnt dropped a dud yet.

Wasnt SF Ep suppose to drop in stores last month??

I listen to rock music as much as hip hop.  The problem with WZRD is that Cudi doesn't know how to make good rock.

I rap and I think I make very good rap music, but WZRD would be the equivalent of if I was learning guitar for a couple of months then was like "I'm dropping a rock album y'all! It's gonna be fire!"

Then did it all by myself and expected everyone to praise it. Just because you're good at a certain style/feel of music doesn't mean it'll translate to other genres just because you want it to.
Agreed

And i liked wzrd dont' get me wrong i thought it was a solid 6/10 maybe 5.5 but its not holding weight compared to his other projects.  And i too listen to a good amount of indie rock and alt rock....so hearing songs with literally 3 chords....the whole song....with some synths in the background kind of makes me cringe.  Then you listen to the insanely talented st. vincent on guitar and its not even close.

But all that being said cudi is still a top 5 artist for me.  I will always be checking for him and literally love his sound

Just gave Sattellite Flight a listen, and really like it. I thought the WZRD project, and Indicud (outside of six tracks) were both trash, which is why I wasn't too eager to listen to SF.

Glad there's some new Cudi I like, though. :smokin It's not him making the same stuff I initially became a fan of, but this is a sound that actually works.

Did anyone peep Kid Cudi on the Joe Rogan podcast?

I thought it was cool as hell because Rogan's not in the music industry and obviously Redband's the fan and not Rogan, so Cudi and Rogan were able to just chop it up about life in general, movies, drugs, etc. and you got to see how easy-going dude is.

I wish there was more of a forum for rappers/artists to talk about stuff outside of their latest projects and whatever social media controversy they're involved in.

It was cool to see cause you never see Cudi do a lot of interviews. I wouldn't even call this an interview.

That was a badass podcast, rare to see Cudi open up about so much stuff in his life like his coke problem. Really respect the dude after hearing his approach to the music and the industry.

I'm so confused... He just announced MOTM3 a few months ago... :smh:

As long as it's Cudi back to his classic sound I'm happy though.
Can't wait for some new tracks.

'Love' is dope :pimp:

Why does the title matter?

I always felt the MOTM series had a pretty solid theme. If the music is the same, it doesn't matter. But he's been mentioning MOTM3 for years now. Also he scrapped A Man Named Scott. You can only take half of what he says about his projects at face value these days to be honest.

If I remember correctly, I think Cudi tweeted a few months ago that he was gonna drop a new project very soon to hold people over until he drops MOTM3 later on.
