[:: KID CUDI Thread - Kanye/Cudi Album 6/8/18 ::]

I still get down with "Afterwords (Bring yo friends)". Indicud was cool, far from my favorite Cud project though

Indicud was okay. It had around 5-7 songs I liked. I always hated all the skits on it, they serve no point. The production overall is pretty damn bad though.

When Indicud first released and I was sad at the time, I loved it. Once I stopped being sad, I could only listen to a few songs lol.

But indicud isn't depressing lol

Now motm 2 is dark lol

Lord of the Sad and Lonely man... lol

That, Mad Solar, and Unf***wittable were my go to's. Cold Blooded was more upbeat, but still had a F everybody/lonely vibe too it.

About a month later I finally realized how horrible the production was. Beez is :x in a bad way. I like the song, and RZA on it, but man.... that production is BAD

Classic?

Stop ******* trolling man.

It's one thing to personally like it or love it, but to say classic? Cmon man. And again, I'm a Cudi Stan.

MOTM is the closest thing to a classic. Indicud has a lot of throwaway beats to be in the same boat

Bro I wouldnt give a **** if you were president of the Kid Cudi Stan club, if you don't feel it that's on you. I love this album and have loved it from day 1.

400

I actually purchased the album .I'm a fan of dude. To me, Indicud is his 2nd best album and another classic under his belt right next to MOTM. I can play it front to back without skipping a track Except maybe that **** with Michael Bolton. You talking down about the beats (which aren't bad to me), but it's the lyrics that grabbed me.

"If my ****** don't **** with you, I don't **** you/that's just the code in my hood don't let these slugs hit you"

"We're all troubled but in a world of trouble it's scary to have a kid walk this Earth"

"I'm just what you made God"

"Sky might fall but I ain't worried at all, cop me some xannies and a couple adderall"

That's just off the top. Cudi and Future are 2 of my favorite artists, they remind me so much of each other because their lyrics aren't necessarily mind blowing, but they are very RAW and REAL and delivered in a way where if you can relate in anyway, you can't help but to feel it.

Then say it's a personal classic.

I don't mind you loving the album bro. It's obviously a love/hate project.

It's just That the word classic is tossed around so damn easily these days. A classic is pretty much perfection, or at least near perfection.

The words are touching but when a majority of people can't vibe to the actual sounds of the music, it's hard to put it in the category of perfection aka "classic."

It's cool tho, you love it. I'm not hating.
Just what I am and immortal are two of my favorite Cudi songs ever, so I'm grateful for the project for at least giving me those 2 tracks.

licensed to ball licensed to ball Respect fam. That's what I was basically getting at, any musical opinion I have is always gonna be "personal" because that's how I rate all music, I base it on how it makes ME feel not the feelings of others. I don't go off critical acclaim, sales, popularity, and ppl telling me what I should and shouldn't like...none of that. I'm sure it's some albums that ppl love that could be the wackest **** on Earth to me and clearly vice-versa...But it's all subjective.

Really hope the album doesn't disappoint! I'm not gonna get my hopes up tho. He's had great singles in the past that got my hopes up and then came through with garbage on the rest of the album. I just hope this time is different. If its half as good as MOTM i'll be happy.

Indicud slander will not be tolerated. That album was ****** dope.

Actually all his albums are (yes including WZRD). In my opinion his weakest effort was Satellite Flight. Just didn't the replay value to me like his other joints. But it was still a solid album.
