beginning of a full chest/stomach/ribs piece. all color. this was a 4.5 hour session. no breaks hurt like hell but got through it

Probably going to fly out to Cali from dc in the next couple months to meet up with johnnytatt. I've been emailing him back and forth and you can check his work out on ig. He's a pretty good artist and doesn't have an absurd wait time. I'd be flying out for a couple days and then flying back so just needed to know how sessions work. Trying to get a half sleeve done. If he doesn't finish it all in day 1, is it possible to have him work on it the next day too? Or do I have to just let it heal and plan another trip back out to him?

Did basically the same thing, from maryland to vegas to start working on a leg sleeve. I had 2 appointments a few days apart, worked on one side of my leg one day and then the other side the next appointment. It will be too soon for him to go back over anything he just did but he should be able to keep adding on to the other areas you didnt get to the first day. Just checked out his work on instagram, i like most of his stuff.

i speak only for myself, but I'd suggest spacing the sessions out. last time i did back-to-back days on a piece, i got some pretty gnarly scar tissue due to tattooing over the same area too soon. it's not too visible to people but i definitely notice it and it bugs me from time to time knowing that it'll never heal in the way that i want. however, if he's not gonna hit up the same area, then by all means, see if you can finish it all while you're out there.

good luck bro

I been wanting a full arm and a full leg sleeve from Eric Marcinizyn for the past 2 years. been sitting on my ideas to make sure they still stick (which they have), and now I dont even know how/where to get an appointment from dude. and with the price of that piece posted above, I'm reconsidering .

that's def a good amount of work for 4 hours, but I'm not bout to pay like 10 racks for a sleeve. damn, now I need to find somebody comparable somewhere

That's very dope. I don't see much armor tattoos. Would be cool to see a gauntlet type thing on a forearm.

first time posting in this thread

got this started yesterday by freddy corbin. four hours in, should be another two hours before it's complete

ribs were no fun

That shouldn't even be looked as by the hour. That is just a $2K piece. Looks like top quality work. I'd be happy with that on my arm.

if you're looking to get a full sleeve though, do they still charge the same by the hour rate? what constitutes charging by the piece? i haven't talked to a bunch of artists, but some of the better quality quoted me a price for the piece. pretty good quality imo, but not Eric M level. I thought the only person pulling those 500/hour off top prices were like Mr. Cartoon

Chest didnt hurt me at all. the only thing that killed me were my feet. to each his own though. starting my head in august sept...cant wait im excited to finally be 100% covered

Your crazy bro. Way more ballsy than I'll ever be. Getting it by the same guy?

By the piece usually depends on the artist. Big name artists will do it, but also any artist who rather give a flat proce than an hourly rate which is usually smaller tattoos or convention tattoos.

Gonna get your face done?

J/k, little do you know, it was through you that I found Rodrigo Melo (who did my Japanese sleeve). I know you went to Sena but they both worked in the dame shop before op

Anybody know of any GREAT japanese-inspired tattoo artist in Texas?
Been looking around for quite a bit and about to give up. Don't feel like heading west just to get a tat but I just might have to.

First tattoo got it started yesterday all in one session going back in a month to get it finished and have more detail done on the charra hat. Original artwork done by Alan Padilla. Work done by Eric Corona at Exclusive Ink in Salinas, CA

Hoping to work on something with the anchor on my shoulder in the later future(perhaps an octopus or something of  water nature) but currently looking to finish my arm with the Ganesh (recently touched up) and lotuses. Anyone have any good recommendations for portrait artists in nyc?

First session done. I got this from Bill of Diamond Club Tattoo in San francisco. He and his wife and his crew are all so nice.

Then a few touch ups here n there and ill be good. 15 years later and haven't had 1 touch up so i can speak for Sena work and say its worth every drop of blood
