2013 College Football Thread (Realer than Real Deal Holyfield -->S/O Craftsy)

so in your opinion, what would you make of him being a natural born leader? how does that make him better or worse than other QB prospects?

I'm not about to get into a debate with you. There's no such thing as a rational debate on NT. Also I'm still looking to see where I said anything about comparing him to other players though. You are trying to start something by bringing in stuff I didn't even mention.

so instead of responding to my question, you'll blame NT for not being able to have a rational debate. Be apart of the solution and not the problem then.

Looking at the live press conference with J Winston. This guy has the best sports personality we've seen in awhile. Guy is made for this. Natural born leader point blank period.

all i'm asking is, if you say he's the "best sports personality we've seen in a while" and he's "a natural born leader", what does that mean? is there a point to that we're supposed to take away? is that an indictment of other QB prospects in the draft, or just a plain statement we should take at face value? that's all i asked

I'll let ya'll get back to y'all "expert" analysis in here  To think I could make a comment with all the knowledgable guys in here :smh: Don't mind me fellas. Heck even use the ignore button if need be.

Let's call it for what it is. I made a statement about a specific athlete...Gunna who usually never responds to anything I write stirs the pot with some BS about how is he different from other players, you follow with some equally irrelevant comment, and it went down from there.

Funny thing is I actually used to be cool with Gunna, was going to make it to one of his benefit/charity runs in Florida but I got called to go to Iraq, but then I got back and it's like dude changed or something. I guess dudes start feeling themselves sometimes and go to changing. All I know is that I've been the same down to earth guy from the first time I starting posting.

Just read the Miami report. How the NCAA only came up with 9 scholarships after reading what they wrote is

How bout because we were negatively recruited for 3 years. How bout we gave up 2 bowl.games and an acc championship game. How bout we were taking scholarships from ourselves during the whole thing.

How about a decade of infractions?

I'm just saying that it's funny how the NCAA absolutely CRUSHES Miami in this report and then the end result is 9 schollies and no vacated wins (in addition to the bowl bans of course).

They definitely had grounds to levy a much bigger punishment than that. If you read the report, there's some pretty damning stuff in there.

They lost their leverage when it was discovered that the NCAA went way above and beyond to obtain the information that they received.

That + the self imposed sanctions that they instituted basically guaranteed that there wouldn't be anything harsh passed down from the NCAA.

Al Golden is smart he handled that situation like a boss

he knew he could get The U back to form so the years he started there didn't really matter and they wasn't balling like The U of norm anyways

smart move

now they back on scene and have the green light I have nothing but respect for them

wonder if Miami has a little more swagger come Nov. 2nd cause of the announcement

I'm sure the AD and President had a lot to do with the self-imposed postseason bans. Sounds like they already had some of that stuff laid out and Golden was compliant with that.

Also, NCAA knew Shalala wasn't bluffing when she threatened to sue the **** outta the NCAA if they imposed anything too harsh. With all the improprieties and misconducted that happened during the NCAA investigation they knew they couldn't really go that hard against us. UM would have taken the NCAA to court and that could set a bad precedent for the NCAA and open up the floodgates for other schools like USC, Penn State, etc to do the same.

you guys lost like 20 scholarships over four years though, and gave up bowl games in your 6-6 seasons..

I'm not saying Miami should've been punished more severely, but it just shows USC's case as the only extreme outlier

tired of dudes defending the NCAA in that regard, hopefully we take the NCAA to court in the near future

Gunna has always had something against FSU

i don't why... last i checked we lost that championship game

NO FSU fan should ever call anybody's team overrated. Look at the past 5-10 years how many times were you guys in the top ten and all hyped up by everybody just to lose to a weak acc team.. Chill

Bowl ban is a bowl ban. Look at Ohio state if they would have just taken there's instead of appealing they would have been in the NC last year. Instead they appealed and played in the bowl game. You can't punish the team cause they had a bad season and say oh that doesn't count cause they had a bad season.
