Jewbacca: I'm well aware Saban is already the highest paid HC. Texas will make that $5.5M a cool $7-$7.5M. You can't ignore a potential million to two jump in yearly income. No matter what profession.

I also think you're undervaluing the recruiting opportunity in Austin compared to Tuscaloosa. Alabama's recruiting trail was helped largely by Saban's success (and Smart). National championships and NFL pros help your cause. Texas recruits itself, win or loss.

Just to clarify, that means BCS ranking and not just any ranking during the BCS era, right? :nerd:

Anyway, aside from Bama, FSU & OSU every team has gotten exposed so far...so many absolute beatdowns of top 5 teams (at the time). It's one of the great things about college football.

Clemson needs to beat South Carolina and I'll be satisfied with this season despite getting debaucled. I didn't think we were good enough to be in the NC anyway so losing at least a game wasn't a surprise but everything went wrong that night.

I saw that Muschamp seemingly made excuses after the game and mentioned that Ga Southern's triple option took away UF's talent:
"That's what the option does. It takes talent out of the game," Florida coach Will Muschamp said. "You don't have to block Dante Fowler Jr. now. You option off Dante Fowler. You don't have to account for him anymore in the blocking. That's why the service academies run it, that's why they run it, that's why a lot of these schools run it, because it takes talent out of the equation."

Someone made the comment along the lines of "So, what's the problem then...coaching?" :lol: You'd have to think that despite everything, UF was giving Muschamp another year up to this point. They're gonna get molested by FSU (avoiding another word) but you really have to wonder if this season is too much to look past and if Muschamp is cut out to be a HC or just a DC. At the same time, I guess some WR coaches were meant to be Head Coaches so you never know.

Muschamp knows his days are numbered in Gainseville. He's clawing, grabbing at anything he can possibly hold onto in defense.
 
So today chad Thomas and Nigel bethel called out the Miami fans about how the stadium is so empty. Not a good look
 
Lol that's Miami talk right there. And let's hope kids like this stay committed. Nobody wants to play in a empty stadium but fans also don't wanna watch a team who lost to duke.

It's Glenn Spencer's first year as DC. But yes, if they finish with 1 loss, give him a raise.

I'll stand by my earlier sentiment. If UF knocks, Gundy is answering.

Shouldn't matter if you lost to Duke. You support the team regardless. Senior day and no one showed? That's heartbreaking. If given the opportunity, I wouldn't play at a school with a fan base such as theirs.
 
Whoever picks Jake Mathews in the top 5 is going to be pissed. Dude was getting destroyed yesterday. Watch the Bucs end up drafting him....

Completely agree. Mathews has not lived up to hype. He's very sound mechanically, but lacks the physical strength and quickness to be great.

The Pokes played well. Probably one of the best wins in their programs history. I still don't think much of Gundy.
