Preview sounds smokin.gifsmokin.gif

Looking forward to that Cole track.

I HONESTLY think Big Sean is one of the best rappers to come out in the last few years.

Ya'll can keep J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar. Sean is wittier than both of them on his worst day.

To each his own. I love all 3 of them. They're all good at what they do.

But I will say this, Sean is definitely the most versatile of the 3. He is able to do inspirational rap, struggle rap, and mainstream rap all together a lot better than the other 2 can.

I would take Cole and Kendrick when it comes to conceptual rap anyday. But yeah, Sean got those punch-lines for days. laugh.gifnthat.gif

We should just all be very happy that we have good music coming up from all 3 of them. smokin.gif

Thing is I appreciate them too...I just feel like Sean gets a TON of hate for no reason.

While I was late on the sean bandwagon(FF3 maybe) he just get cornier and cornier.  Mainstream wasn't a good look for his quality.  Majority of his guest spots are alien.gif

I don't understand all the hate for dude.

Ya'll stay bumping that A$AP Mob trash, that TDE trash minus Kendrick. I mean seriously, ya'll on this forum bumping and digging Ab-Soul like that?

NT music forum is buns.

Lemme get Big Sean and his witty lines, swag, and feel good music. Ya'll can keep Chief Keef, A$AP Ferg and Max B.

Thread is already going in a direction that it shouldn't be. You guys getting mad as if you're managing Big Sean. Just state your anticipation for the mixtape and keep it moving.

The misuse & overuse of the term "hate" is too damn rampant in here. No need to take shots at other artists, or at other members for liking said artists just because their opinions aren't aligned with yours.

It's like you dudes keep forgetting that we aren't CONSTRUCTED THE SAME WAY. We aren't going to respond to things the same way.

I respect this, but when I go into those other artists threads I mentioned, the same thing goes on in here. It's a never ending cycle.

Dudes go hard for dudes like Gunplay, Chief Keef, Lil B, etc.

But when a dude who actually is a witty rapper and happens to also be successful in the mainstream, he gets hate.

Cole was the savior until he sold 100k + the first week to these guys.

The Internet Hip Hop fan only likes the underdog.

Someone needs to put the beat from that vid in the Wasted Beats thread. Dude is too trash. I'm shocked that people actually check for him.

You're shocked because you haven't listened to Sean's entire catalog.

He's corny to some, but whitty to others. Its entertaining. His punch-lines are very relatable and understandable.
Some people want some heavy, deep **** that rappers like Talib Kweli and Kendrick do...
Others want punch-lines and bars that are more current, modern, and hip... which Sean provides.

One example would be Sean's continuous use of sports metaphors in his bars. It's entertaining for those of us who listen to rap and watch a lot of sports.
He also is able to use words in multiple ways that most people wouldn't think of, hence the whit.

Not everything has to be so deep...its entertainment. He entertains some fans like us, and other rappers entertain fans like you.

Don't understand the need to question why people like the rappers that they do. They just do, get on with your life.

I actually liked FF3, but dude's bars and delivery have gotten cornier and cornier ever since. I'll check out some of this mixtape tho.
