FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Gonna pull some off my instagram again.

Recently had some legit Japanese Ramen...Don't even compare it to instant ones!

Ube Icecream - Purple yam. It was good, but wasn't great; still enjoyable.

Home cooked food looks good ya'll!

I'm gonna make something at home this week. Eating out adds up.

Had a turkey breast sammich from Subway and a smoothie today, no pics needed.

Appetizer: Oysters Rockefeller - Baked oysters topped with a béchamel/mozzarella blend along with bacon bits...

Main Course: Surf & Turf - Grilled Chilean sea bass topped with a béarnaise sauce & sliced New Zealand beef tenderloin with a port wine jus. Served with marble potatoes and assorted steamed vegetables...

Im ******g starving

Right now all I need is either a mixplate from 53rd and 6th or a ************* Lasagna from "Johnny's Pizza" in Dyckman

+1 on the 53rd & 6th halal cart. I make it a point to stop by regardless if I'm in NY for business or vacation. I'll actually be there later this month for a conference so I'll be sure to snap a photo this time!

Went to this spot called Waba Grill yesterday for lunch, and the place was crack. I got the chicken and steak platter, white meat, white rice, a lil side salad and 3 pieces of cantaloupe. It was all about $12 including drink. I googled the spot and apparently it's an national chain so if you have one in your area, check it out.

Had some Gumbo this past weekend. Did not like. Anyone know where I can get authentic soul food here in the Los Angeles area? (BTW Im mexican)

what is that green sauce? i had it once at a Peruvian restaurant but i never asked about it. it was delicious though....is it similar to chimichurri?

Very different from chimichurri. Chimi is more salsa-like, coarsely cut ingredients, visible clear liquids, while Aji (green sauce) is more like a hot sauce in a Mexican restaurant, blended, no distinguishable ingredients.
