My tour guide told me to hit up this spot in Ximending for ACYE hot pot that includes unlimited beer. Will check back when I can fam.

Hmm .. not sure about that hot pot place.

Ximending's got some good food spots. There's an extremely famous oyster vermicelli place that I highly recommend.

There's a mall in the area with an underground food court. They do 10 gyoza for like 20 NT I think. That's 65 cents. Bombskis.

This your first time there? Try out things like oyster pancakes, Taiwanese sausages (with lots of garlic sauce :pimp: :pimp: ), egg crepes (dan bing) with bacon, fan tuans (they like rice burritos) and of course stinky tofu :pimp: :pimp:

Enjoy your stay!

Shilin is definitely my favorite night market tho for food.

Ya'll ****** be on other continents eating like kings. I do what I can, but I'm not a millionaire like ya'll *************

Some bomb-*** homemade spaghetti and garlic bread. The meat sauce had brown sugar in it so it was simultaneously sweet and salty

Went to Whole Foods just because I had never been for lunch and copped some chicken parm, potato salad, green beans, and blueberry Izzie. Was disappointed by the taste of all four of these items. And the price was terrible. Need suggestions on what to get from Whole Foods because I won't be strolling in there again anytime soon.

Not food, but this is what I'm keeping in the crib at the moment

In addition to about 30 beers assorted Heineken and Stella, about 3 or 4 bottles of wine, a case of Mike's Hard Lemonade, and like 3 different kinds of rum

(I don't keep these things for me, of course)

Trying to lay off of meat for a few weeks to a month. Broccoli and mixed veggies in garlic sauce from my local Chinese spot. **** was so delicious that I plan to order the exact same **** for lunch tomorrow

Personal opinion but Din Tai Fung is really overrated. I don't know if the Taiwan locations any different but I've been to the LA one and the Shanghai one and it just doesn't compare to the GOAT.

Extremely late on this but bro @RhInoSpOrt you were at Stans?! Should let me know man. Would've walked right over there and have a mini NT Grub summit at Westwood.

The one in Arcadia is pretty good.

The new Glendale one sucks.

Mannnn. I've been wanting the scarf they have on their store, but I live in San Diego. Can't be wearing a scarf when it's 80 degrees in the middle of winter :smh:

Been to the Arcadia one. Went at an odd hour between lunch and dinner (probably around 4), got there, no line, perfect. Ordered a bunch of XLB. Wasn't even good. Not sure if they gave us stale ones that have been sitting or what. Taste and texture just wasn't there.

One in the back? They got a secret entrance for the good stuff or something?

You know there's two separate entrances?

I'm not sure if they're any different (Im pretty sure it's the same **** ) and I've never been to the first pic but my friend who's lived in So Cal for a while swears by the second one, so that's the only one I go to

DTF might be overrated to some, but it's world renowned food at an affordable price, especially if you go as a group. You just really have to try the OG one in Taipei.

There's another spot I go for XLB called ROC in West LA, closer to where I live and it's really good as well.
