THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

They can at least finish out the season 5-5. Don't see it any worse than that.

All 6 games against NFC East
vs. Cards, @Jags, @Bears, vs. Colts

I mean 3-3 vs. NFC East is easy
2-2 against those non NFC East teams.. Very doable.

No reason to post this other than it's awesome.

If they finish 5-5 they wasted this great start and would have zero momentum they need to win at least 7 of those games

Edit: I watched that about 20 times in a row just now

I'm just saying that's the floor.

They can go AT LEAST 5-5 and finish 10-6 for the season.

I think they finish either 6-4 or 7-3 to finish 11-5 or 12-4.

But at least we proved we are the real deal and can win any game, and there is no penciled in losses.

Romo came out and played like the $100 mil QB and outplayed Russell Wilson, who would have thought that would happen.

Do you guys hear that :nerd:

Me neither...phone been silent for a while now :pimp:

People would blow up my phone when we lost...now i get nothing

Our oline is looking really good. We just need to keep up this mentality that we can compete and win every game

I'm with you on that I just hope they keep the momentum rolling

At chi worries me the most seems like we can never get a win there cards and Indy are home games so they should be winnable (not saying they're for sure wins)

As long as that OLine stays healthy they'll always have a chance. It's the best unit in football.

Was that Free injury serious?

just got through watching the game not knowing the score the whole day.

Mann... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE WHAT I AM SEEING.
So jealous of my bro..

Probably going to the Eagles on Thanksgiving.

How poetic would be it if we played the 49ers in the NFC championship game?

Something I just noticed. The only time the defense has really allowed more than 17 points was against the Rams.

Against the Niners we we had a Murray Fumble recovery for 6, and then a interception returned all the way to the 2 yard line.

Today we had the punt block obviously.

Heck, they really haven't allowed more than 24 considering Romo through a pick 6 against the Rams

The defense right now is only giving up around 16 points a game. 17 if you count that TD against SF after the Romo pick that was brought back to the two against them. You can say things like this about alot of teams, but the point is, the defense is vastly improved.

Rod Marinelli has these guys BALLING. Can you imagine this D next season with Lee on the field for 10-12 games along with a slightly developed D-Lawrence and another pass rusher :x

Hearing these guys in the post game interviews is good stuff. Giving credit to the coaches and always mentioning the resiliency.

Terrence Williams has always been a body catcher to me so to see him come down with that catch on 3rd down was incredible.

I want to see other angles of that Durant no-pick. It looked like he might have came up with that.

To see the defense always in a position to make a play is credit to Marinelli. Several plays the defense was able to get a hand on the ball which broke up a lot of big plays.

Seeing Dez/Sherman was fun. Dez had him beat for a TD but Romo ended up passing to Witten for a first down on that 1st TD drive.

Romo with the highest QBR in the league in the 2nd half of football games.

I gotta see footage of First Take today after work. Man it feels good to be a Cowboy fan on this Monday, not to mention my college teams won Saturday also.

this game was really a test for us to see just how good we are & we really delivered. i could do without some of those mistakes we had (those are the types that will cost us games), but we did a great job bouncing back & taking control of the game. murray, our defense, & our o-line all came through big once again :pimp:

romo x williams with another well timed scramble / big play :pimp:

i feel really confident in this team right now & its been fun to watch them... can't remember the last time i said that

Props on them beating Sherman, Wilson and the Clown-hawks, but this 'high' is just that.  A 'high'.  Murray tho.  That's where it's at, just like Emmitt and the 'running' game, carrying Aikman. LOLZ

Funny thing is, cats don't remember ES saying, why players gotta celebrate when they reache the endzone like it's their first and only. LOLZ

My man Garrett is getting it done and getting them boys ready to play.

Y'all on the Garrett bandwagon yet? He's the best coach they've had since Parcels.

Before y'all give all the credit to the assistant coaches, remember Jimmy Johnson had some pretty good assistant coaches.

Garrett will not get an ounce of praise from me until we get another playoff win.

Ummm.... Ok

Most likely Parnell at RT.

If he really struggles could try Martin at RT. and Leary/Bernadeau at the Gs

Just so you're aware, it's not a lock for Free to even miss this Sunday's game. The 3-4 weeks is the worst case scenario.

IRVING — Although Doug Free hopes to play Sunday, the starting right tackle could miss three to four weeks with a sprained foot, according to a source.

“I think he’s OK,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Monday. “He’s dealing with that injury, and we’ll see what it is here over the next few days.”

Free has started 77 consecutive games, but his streak now is in jeopardy. The Cowboys have four games remaining before their bye week, including a Nov. 9 game in London against Jacksonville.

Free sprained his right mid-foot with 3:23 left in Sunday’s victory over the Seahawks on a 6-yard run by DeMarco Murray. Jermey Parnell, who has two career starts, helped pave the way for Murray’s 15-yard touchdown run on the next play.

Parnell played five snaps, with Free returning for the victory formation kneel down to end the game.

“Jermey did a really nice job,” Garrett said. “He didn’t play many plays in the game, but he played some important ones. He’s been dealing with a rib injury and hasn’t been able to practice fully the last few days but came in and just really responded well to the situation. It’s part of knocking a guy all the way on his back on that first one. He came off the ball. One of the challenges for a guy like that going into a game like is everybody’s been playing for a while and the crowd noise and all that kind of stuff, you get used to that. All of a sudden you come in, and …you’re kind of clean and all that, but everyone else is kind of well into this thing, and I thought he responded well emotionally to that situation and mentally to that situation, and those were big plays that he played.”

I think it's "do or die" with Parnell at RT if Free can't go. I hear Martin hasn't taken any snaps at tackle for the Cowboys in OTA's, training camp, preseason, or any practices and I don't think they wanna mess with the chemistry he is building with Fredrick.

^^^^^That. I really think the rest of the line will elevate Parnells play too, instead of it being the other way around. And I'm not worried about the Giants and Washington Football Team anyways.
