THE OFFICIAL 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS OFF-SEASON THREAD || Cowboys Gonna Cowboy

that's exactly the opposite of what actually happened

27-24 defense stops them on 4th down.
Less than 2 minutes remaining in the game.
Get a first down and the game is over.
Not only did we not get a first down, we got a penalty basically giving Detroit an extra time out.

No reason for our defense to get back on the field.
They did their job.
Mentally they were on the plane ride home.
Even the commentators thought the game was over.

Yup defense also got us 4 turnovers and the offense got 10 points off of them, one of which Lee returned to the 5.

Defense was fare from great but it gave our offense more than enough chances

So when Romo throws an INT and costs games it's not his fault? Oh...okay...didn't know we were protecting inept play now...

That's not even remotely what I said.

We might as well trade Dez and let him go somewhere else and produce. No need in having a top 5 receiver who doesn't get an opportunity to make plays. Trade Sean Lee and Tyronn Smith as well. They're all in their primes. I'm sure some other teams would enjoy having them. No reason why we should not be able to move the ball up the field. Detroit had not one sack all game, and that's a pretty formidable DLine. Dez foresaw that'd we'd need points to win. And look what happened, we swallowed an "L". Without Dez out there, we are below .500.

Wow, what a team cancer. Dude clearly was whining about not having his touches.

Someone should post this in the WIR thread

Posted it in the NFL thread but you know most will just try to ignore it

I knew Dez wasn't thinking about himself. But that video paints him in a good light imo. Not ONE time did Dez use the word "I",it was all We we we. A lot of people are eating their words right now. Pure passion and dare I say leadership :smokin That 2010 draft with Dez, Sean, and Harris has provided two passionate leaders and the three best player's on each of their respective units, thanks Wade Phillips

BRYANT: No! We can’t let them do that! These [expletive] [unclear.] They’re manning me the [expletive] up. We destroy that!
Hey — we gotta mix that [expletive] up! [Unclear, PA covers up Bryant's comments.]
They press me! [Or maybe "It's fresh meat!"] It’s over! [Unclear]

ROMO: What?

BRYANT: [Unclear] I’m cutting! I’m cutting clean.
I know on that last one, they bust me, it’s over.
[Talks with coach, unclear with stadium noise]
Man, we good on that, Tony. We the best in the NFL on that. We the best in the NFL. And I could…I’m telling you, if you look at it on film…man, if you look at it on film, [unclear] I swear to God out there, [unclear, PA announcer speaking] on the zero, I’m cutting. [Unclear] [expletive] [unclear.]

DOOLEY: Hey, what you gotta do, you gotta set it down.

ROMO: You gotta set it down.

DOOLEY: In other words, don’t look at Tony, because the safety’s coming out of the top.

BRYANT: I see that.

DOOLEY: So when you run… When you run…

ROMO: Look it. Look at me. I’m throwing the ball and you’re already over here.

BRYANT: Yeah.

ROMO: You should be setting down on that.

BRYANT: Yeah.

DOOLEY: Run like this. Don’t look at Tony and then stop, and say “Tony.”

ROMO: I don’t care [unclear] [expletive] like as soon as you’re over the ball you should tell me right now.

DOOLEY: Give it to me.

ROMO: Stop or you’re gone.

BRYANT: OK.

ROMO: [Unclear]

DOOLEY: It looks open, but they’re coming out of the top.

BRYANT: It did. It did. It did.

DOOLEY: I knew what you saw because they doubled Wit.

BRYANT: [Unclear] I hadn’t seen it… [Looks out on field.] Pick that [expletive] up man. C’mon…
We [expletive] good, man. We bust our *** not to win this [expletive] game.

Yeah we definitely need to bench Dez and teach him a lesson as @DoItAllPaul suggested

Just read through the last 3 pages to see who everyone wants to blame, and their opinions on Dez and the defense.

And not one single person mentions the Smith holding call on 3rd down. EVERY team in the league runs 3 running plays on that drive. The offensive line NEEDS to know not to do anything stupid! If Smith doesn't hold there, Detroit gets the ball back with 30 seconds, tops! THIRTY!

Yes, it was a colossal collapse. Yes, we had our FOURTH and FIFTH string safeties in on the last drive, and our third and fourth string cornerbacks. But c'mon, if Tyron doesn't hold there, its game over, that simple.

Our division is a wreck, and we still have a 2 game lead. Things could be a lot worse. The main objective is still the same, just get to the playoffs. Personally, I still like our chances.

Great to hear the audio on that. Dez will be fine. Hopefully we will get some of our injured players back. Waters injury sucks tho smh

I think one of our issues is that we rely too much on the big play. It's not great for clock management and wearing the opponent's defense down.

Anyways, I hope we can get a win in NEW ORLEANS going into the bye.. that should get our confidence going.

Assuming we beat the Vikings.. If we can sneak out a win in NO, this loss is 100% forgiven.

Will definitely be interesting to see how Rob Ryan defends against Romo and the offense!

If that happens I'll keep my seats lol

Idk about 100% forgiven. Maybe a little easier to swallow after the fact.

Waters is out for the season. Welp, having a good Oline was fun for 3 games guys. This probably eliminates the small chance that he'd even return next season.

Loosing Waters for the year is HUGE.

We signed Everette Brown to help the D-Line .. dude was a bust but maybe Rod can light a fire under his ***.

Im so glad Dez was mic'd up.

I PRAY ED WERDER does not come to coover our team. he's the real cancer.

based on that transcript, he is wanting more touches though. the problem is that people for whatever reason think he wants the touches out of selfishness. i'm of the belief that he wants the touches just because he wants to ******* win man.
