I'll definitely be checking this phone out. I currently have a Galaxy S2 and it's been on the decline ever since I upgraded to ICS.
Apple's September 12 invite hints at iPhone 5. Upgrade to iOS 6 now.

So far this looks to be more disappointing than the 4S.
The biggest change (taller screen) seems to be more of a reaction (and an underreaction, at that) to the galaxy phones than anything else.
I hope I'm wrong but Apple already lost me by introducing the underwhelming 4S last year.
In a way, Apple is in an impossible spot. It's difficult to top the innovation in the original iphone, and also changing the design too drastically is risky since people are used to the classic iphone design.

tmobile will be allowed 3g/4g on the iphone by the end of the year, if you dont care about dropping money on the iphone it would be worth it to pay less monthly and get the same interested as everyone else.

i feel you, aside from the screen and maybe LTE i dont see whats gonna be different. software means nothing since the 4 and 4s can get the same software.
phone looks the same, actually 4 and 4s look better IMO but then again we dont know exactly what they back of the phone will look like.
people will buy it regardless because its apple and its new. i have a feeling im gonna be keepin my iphone 4 for the next year.

Good points. I was so close to buying a Galaxy S3 yesterday but decided to just wait the week and see what Apple has. Pretty much know already as it's been leaked little by little. I've been using iphones since the 3gs and using a 4 right now, didn't even bother upgrading to the 4S. 5 looks underwhelming so far and as you stated the new screen size looks to be a reaction to all of apples competitors. 4 inches is still pretty small compared to its competitors. Not to mention it seems like it was only lengthened so now it just looks disproportionate. I am however looking forward to the hardcore apple fans claiming how revolutionary this phone will be

i still dont understand the new for a bigger screen. maybe its just me but the iphone 4 screen it good. maybe a tiny bit bigger thats it

the thing is, w/ apple, they have such a strong following, i dont think they would have to worry about alienating their following.
it seems so cultish cuz people swear by apple products.

I still love it.
Besides Sprints whack network. I work in sanfer and be getting the circle at the top randomly :x
If the 5 blows my mind I will pay it straight cash homie and keep the 4s if I ever mess up my phone.
For now my 4s is legit.
And I love the screen size still. It's perfect.
I saw some dude bust out a Note and at first glance I thought it was a graphing calculator :x

Yikes, Only apple can cause a frenzy over something like this.. You do realize canon, nikkon, and sony just release new cameras or tv's without these big events.. I guess we aren't past that artifical hype phase just yet
I have a 4s and love it btw. But this is just beyond ridiculous with the key notes. I don't think I'll be due for an upgrade until the iphone 6... How many people just pay the retail price of these just to have one every year?
