IMO this isnt necessarily a problem with how the Bulls play although it is magnified given the mood of this series but as a whole the league has eliminated the hard foul.

manu was quite reckless when he got in the league put he was also coming off the bench a lot as well.wade was going off his first couple of seasons no matter who it was against but now he picks his spots more carefully

Then....you're still ignoring the style of play part.
Most physical position? I guess...but as an individual...Duncan's game wasn't built around beating guys off the dribble and getting to cup at will while being knocked down by guys much bigger than he is.
Neither was Manu. Wade was never as crafty and clever with the ball as much as Manu is. Manuu's game was never as aggressive and reckless as wade's
