my NBA knowledge >>>>>>> my NFL knowledge but i made 80% of my money from the NFL. makes no sense.
this NFL season i'm 11-3, but in the NBA i'm 0-2.
i think i might jus always go with the detroit front court + kevin love from now

Because with NBA, you have consistant guys that give you 40+ points (Klove, CP3, Griffin, etc) but its about the cheap role players (Ariza, Redick, Jeremy Lin, etc) that you need to have 40-50 points one any given night to get top 5 finish. Whereas NFL, you can have a team with 2-3 elite players and still get smoked if your RB2 or WR's 2/3 dont perform.
I say that to say, the risk in choosing 2nd tier NBA players like Ariza are easier than choosing NFL players like McFadden showing up to be that key guy to seperate you from finishing midtable or top 10 prizes
Also i only play the "luck of the irish" 20+ entries tourneys where im going up against 200-8000 people

what are your guy's strategies when it comes to picking nfl? gambling on "sleepers" wr's and going big on rb's has done nothing but lose me money!

Look at my lineup above^^^^^ something along those lines every week.
I never pick the most expensive player, UNLESS ITS THE WR/TE.
cheap QB (been rolling with phillip rivers all year)
cheap RB (stacy/lacy/mcfadden/hillis/etc)
great RB
great WR
great WR
cheap WR (based on injuries and targets really)
great TE
any K
DEF (KC or anyone that plays Jags)

Yeah Thompkins was a healthy scratch. Shoulda put Dobson in there he cooked. This is the only one of my lineups that won. After tonight I'll be +$15 for the week.

^ Just a 10 person $10 entry league. $45 goes to 1st place. I definitely wouldn't be winning anything with this lineup if I was in a big tourney .

^ I usually do two 10 team leagues and one big tourney per week. All $10 entry fees. The 10 teamers are pretty easy , I usually come in the top 3 in at least one of them.

i stick to the 50/50 leagues.
I'd win in 1 tournament every 10x. Not really worth it imo even if you win $100+

2nd week playing NFL
I admit I was scared after the morning games but Jordy,Forte,Lacy, and Andre Johnson came through.
