I hoped on the 1 train late, but I picked up both of those releases for a decent price before everyone jumped on the bandwagon. I went from having a few pairs of kicks (12-15 pairs; mainly Air Max and a few Js) to selling them all when I needed the cash, and started rocking nothing but Chuck Taylors. I think the last purchase I made back in the day were the Nubuck 12s which I still have, but I wish I would have been in the game for the Banneds. I can't believe the price increase on those, and I live 15mins top from the Cypress Nike outlet

11s are dead in my eyes. I rocked 11s when I was a kid, and didn't know any better. The only pair that I have are the Gammas which I picked up at the outlets. I sold a pair of the Playoff 11s I copped from Footlocker when I was working overseas for $400 and copped a pair of CG3s. I don't want to look like everyone else now. That's why I like wearing 1s that no one even knows about, but can be had for the low. Like these...OG color blocking and I think the fuzzy swoosh is a nice touch. These were my highschool colors. So these remind me of my letter jacket. You can't tell me they're not tough with the spare black laces they came with.
