Not to imply that I'm old, but from what I remember when these first dropped they were one of the lighter alternatives. Back then the majority of basketball shoes had full leather uppers as opposed to modern day materials. I preferred models with stability over anything at the time. I used to love the Penny IVs for the ankle strap security.

I preferred the '09s over the '13s even when the 13's were sitting on shelves. Shadows have only been retro'ed twice and were slept on both times. People are slow to realize how beautiful a neutral colorway is, but go nuts over Supreme Foams. Come on bruh...I'm into sneakers but I am far from a hypebeast. I got into shoes when I started dressing myself, and way back then my mom wouldn't buy me a pair of kicks for every outfit so I had to get some that would match everything. Common sense people!

I think these sat because toro IVs and the hype of the AJ1 wasn't real yet and the thirst wasn't there until the royal hit and then in December when people couldn't get the Breds that's when the shadows started reallllly took off and so it continues with the BW and next the chicagos this may

The hype for ones started after the breds the royals and black gold were unattainable for the masses but the breds brought it all back in my eyes and like others have said I will agree 10000percent we will see remastered bred royals etc etc after the poor quality on those 2013 .... Oh yeah and the horrible black toes.... Just look at what Nike did with the chicagos and two years later here we go again...
Don't forget these shoes only cost Nike $14-18 to produce with materials and labor and we are paying 160 retail and 500 plus on the after market

^Royals dropped first fam. They were in abundance in my city for the All-Star game, but I wasn't too interested in those because of the WC '88s. The Shadows were something like the Bred lows last weekend. Not too much talk around release day, but I think those will take of in the resale market as well when the hype train boards.

Yeah they dropped in July and the royals were February if I'm correct ... But the royals were much more difficult than breds or shadows

Got me a pair of Shadows from the outlets bruh
I wore my pair from FA at least 350 times. Then flipped them for $285, and I still got the B-grades on ice. Plus they look better than my retail pair.

Royals dropped first during all star break as dude stated, people were camping out at my local boutique for 2 days man. I had a shot to cop on CL for $400 the same day but pass like an idiot.

I kind of regret not copping the Black Toes from the outlets now. I want to say those weren't even B-grades.
Ya'll need to get on sneakersteal from time to time. Right now would be a great moment to capitalize!

I'd take white LMs over these any day. All though the SBs are kind of hyped I'm not on the "Limited" hype train. Or any train/band wagon for that matter

I got the black toes at outlet and the quality was fine no serious I ssues what so ever except stamp on size tag and box lid
the LM are great shoes and a different animal to some extent I got the white ones but will unload eventually

Shadows hit outlets around November 2013 iirc. Walked in and walked out with two pairs, no line.
