Thanks man! Now I just need to find a cheap pair of B/W 1's. Only one that has eluded me thus far. Seen some decent prices on the bay area CL but haven't got any responsestrappedintime Congrats on the pick up. Had to make some moves, but you got them...
Damn fedex pisses me off I changed my delivery so it could be held at the FedEx office by my house and they took it back to the hub and now I gotta await for Monday
You can do all of this through their iPhone app. This ain't 1995.Damn fedex pisses me off I changed my delivery so it could be held at the FedEx office by my house and they took it back to the hub and now I gotta await for Monday
Here is a tip when it comes to FedEx. As soon as you have tracking # you can call them and have it held at local facility. Just remember to do it before it goes out for delivery or else you will add an additional day.
They were 1s alright, Air Force 1s
i just have a pair of solid white 1s i bought from footaction for $95

They're not a cash cow by any means of the term. For the AJ1 being the proverbial cash cow for JB now I wonder why they made a mockery of the model for so long?
Patents...Mids...Phats...Andonized...incorrect materials on retros...ect.
Just doesn't make sense. It's like they finally decided to try and do things "right".
Even the AJKOs. Released "vintage" with the dirty midsole/outsole and wrong outsole at that only to be released right a few years later.
They're not a cash cow by any means of the term.
They're made much less limited than any other jordan retro, and they're much cheaper.
Think of it: The Prostar Air Jordan 5s coming out this weekend will be released in higher numbers than the Frags, Chicagos, UNCS, and B/ws combined. They're also selling for $5-50 more.
They just have a hardcore following. They're a really good looking shoe and the fanbase for them is much more "diehard" than the people who go out and buy any retro on any saturday.
ThisHere we go again with people worrying how others spend their money. If you got it like that and it makes you happy go for it, you only get one chance at life and if it makes you happy that's all that matters. Obviously if you are spending that kind of money on a shoe and you cannot eat / pay bills etc, then you have your priorities mixed up lol. So it's okay to spend $800 on 4 pairs of GR Jordans, but if you skip those 4 pairs and pay for one shoe you really want then you're dumb? Okay, I couldn't care less what other people do, it doesn't effect me, so do you.
Well, hypebase or fanbase spending $750 on a pair of shoes actually made in 1985 shows some form of loyalty to the shoe.
There's no "fanbase" for 1s. It's more of a hypebase lol
My stupid *** might have to pay the price(someway) to secure them

But the shoes going for $400 twenty minutes after release doesn't bring extra money to JB, just the owner of the shoes.
Well "technically speaking" the shoe first debuted in 1985 but I see where you're coming from. Spending 750 in the aftermarket is alot different than 750 at retail. Spending 750 at retail is "loyalty", spending 750 in the aftermarket just shows much a person values (places worth on) them.Well, hypebase or fanbase spending $750 on a pair of shoes actually made in 1985 shows some form of loyalty to the shoe.

No, I'm talking about buying OGs and wearing them. Seeking them for wear purposes. It's insane the amount of devotion people have to 1s, definitely intense.

Not necessarily. If most of these people buying OGs after the 2013 releases, then they're only doing it to have what most people dont have IMO. Dont get me wrong, everyone in here would love a pair of OGs (if they dont have em) but I would want it for collection purposes, not to wear. Doesn't make much sense to me to get a 30 year old pair to wear when there is a newer version out. Yes quality is a lot different but I don't see it as much of a difference makerNo, I'm talking about buying OGs and wearing them. Seeking them for wear purposes. If you ever want to offload any of those I'm here for youCurrent 1s not including doubles or AJKOs (so underrated).
Makes me wish I never sold off my old AJ1 collection.
I refuse to pay the asking price for royals out of pure principle of me buying my 01s at the outlet lol
