FTL.... had them stock locate, they shipped to the store. took about 2 days (from Cincinnati to Nashville)...
while i was in Detroit this weekend, one of the malls' HOH still had pairs in stock. not in my sz. otherwise i woulda doubled up.

Based off people's reaction around my way with the SGs I'd say people look and say in their head, "I feel like I've seen those before...that's a bright colorway" then go on with their day.
I'd say Americans are familiar with the shoe but couldn't put a name to it if their life depended on it.

You know what, it's not fair for me to say that cuz i've only wore them once. A few more wears and we'll see what the consensus is (it's not just for nostalgic purposes why i buy retros, it's spark up some convo too, i'll admit Rick Schmidt). My girl really likes these shoes because of the colorway/layout of the design (mind you, she wears nikes but just whatever
running shoes are on discount, she's not a sneakerhead by any mean, just your typical snow bun)... but she was really keen on the scream green cream teams.
But going back to your comment about the "familiarity" aspect of it. I know... a many citizens are interested in sneaker culture and most of them, at some point in their lives, were fixated on the genre.
Back in 2008, i ran into one my boys (who's probably in his mid 30's now, who's no kind of shoe collector, dude's married with children), but he saw me wearing the B-Ball editions of the revised Huarache hoopers and said...
"Eh, are those huarache's. Haven't seen those since High school"
That's the thing, the logo on the tongue was enough to raise intrigue and cause mystique.
And i would have never taken a ponder or even presume of him being adept to Nike Airs like that because of his age and, at the time, his Sauconys.
The world is filled... with so many anomalies and eclectic characters with interests and hobbies you wouldn't fathom/be disclosed to --- but this shoe stuff is real.
And it's quite universal... au contraire to what unpopular opinions one may harness.

The nerve of my broad; she says every where we go, no body pays attention to her... they only look at my shoes. And the thing is that i never catch people gawking.

Today....UNDS'ED SCREAM GREENS....is it just me or do these fit way tighter then triple blk's.....i got both in a 10 and triple blks fit me fine...with these i had to take out the insole

I mentioned earlier that the sizing seems to be all over the place on these. For me my gym blues fit way tighter than my pigeons, and both I went up 1/2 a size. It's your typical Nike QC

I first got the triple blk's in a 10 and they fit me fine...so w/o tryin on the sg's I got a size 10 and there crazy tight ...removing the insole helped a lot tho...for now on I'm only coppin 10.5 in these kicks

Same here, Triple blacks were pretty relaxed and are crazy comfortable, SGs are making the balls of my feet burn so I'm just gonna sell them to someone locally and buy a new pair, returned my 9.5 gym blues for a 10 and had the finishline manager order me a pair of hyperpunches, apparently they can stil order them even if they're sold out online.Whats Good NT....

That's weird, man. My SGs in a 10 fit noticeably looser than my Triple Blacks and Greys, which are also 10s. The toe box material and leather on the SGs are a lot stretchier than the materials on the other pairs.

Well said...I know guys I work with who wear nothing but work boots all day and are still familiar with a few sneakers I wear...And yea the Huarache sign speaks volumes. Speaking of the ol lady I need to go ahead get mine a pair too.
