***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Had a CEO of a major automotive manufacturer come in and tell my class that he loved Trump and he was great for business . I lit into him because he contradicted himself so much, but this is another example of how he was talking out of his ***. He was definitely letting his personal politics affect what he said

I had a manager at work tell me that we are no longer going to outsource because of Trump. I'm pretty sure the real reason is everything we outsource turns to **** quality and ends up costing more to maintain.

Given how gorgeous Tomi is I used to think just how lucky Rusty is to have such an amazing woman but the recent pics we've seen of Rusty, it is CLEAR AS DAY that TOMI IS THE LUCKY ONE. Rusty is the Black Dapper Don in his prime. Shape up on point, outfits looking great and Covfefe and Coal running through his veins. AMAZING
It should not be surprising that a classy, raised right girl like Tomi would have impeccable taste. She chose a prince to bed her and nothing less.

Truly amazing indeed. A special couple.

As we say in the mines, the pure white snow can only be melted by the flames of clean coal and down will run a stream of water that tames the fire within.

Y'all still on that BS Puerto Rico story? Mayor Cruz wasn't even attending meetings with other leader. Find another leader with the same complaints. There's obviously a crisis and chaos on an island in a big big ocean, but... There are thousands of shipping containers at the ports and they're asking drivers from mainland US to "volunteer". Nah... That hurricane didn't target and injure every driver on the island. There's clearly a cash flow/corruption issue.

What else? Melania getting her gift of those "racist" Dr Seuss books rejected from by a school librarian? You can easily find pictures of that librarian wearing a Cat in the Hat costume to celebrate Dr Seuss' birthday. You can also find pictures of Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton, and even Big Mike Obama reading Dr Seuss.

The Russian collusion story has morphed into an investigation of roughly $200,000 of Facebook ads.

The stock markets are booming.

Unemployment is down.

Meanwhile major Democratic donor who Big Mike Obama call a "great man" and a "friend" is trying to pull a Roman Polanski before things even get started with him.

Hillary took about 2 seconds to respond to Vegas but took days to speak on yet another sexual deviant in her circle (Bill, Weiner, etc.). Obama was mum as well. WHY DID THEY TAKE SO LONG TO DENOUNCE HIM?!! (Trump was never pictured with the folks in Charlottesville and never took their donations.)

He's baited the NFL players into making fools of themselves and losing the league money while unifying citizens under the flag. (At least Colin had the courage to take a knee while POTUS was blackish).

Eminem just dropped a video with him looking like an overseer of silent black field gang in the background....

I'm outraged as well. when's she gonna speak out against the dotard?

and how dare she respond immediately after the death of 58 people. she should've waited until all the facts came out. obviously there were two sides to this with good people, some very fine people, and some bad ones, but many good ones, on both sides, on both sides.

Love reading posts like this from a TRUE AMERICAN!

It's like yea sure, you being a young man you are unlikely to get sick but it's not an impossibility.

I'm sure ya'll will agree as we were/are there, young men in their 20s are some of the most reckless people on earth. Not sure where this notion of not needing health insurance comes from.

I am quite literally a prime example of that. ~5 years ago I was in great health. I went to the gym at least 3x a week, was fairly muscular and strong especially compared to most of my peers, had a good diet for my gym routine, a great social life, ...
And I was 2nd in my class for grades in my first year of my nursing bachelor.
Then I randomly became chronically ill out of nowhere, was forced to quit my nursing education due to not being able to handle the physical aspects anymore as a result of the disease, ...
Fast forward to now and I'm still stuck with the same chronic disease with a disability statute. I wouldn't say I was the pinnacle of health prior to this condition but I sure was in excellent health. Before all this, the last thing I'd ever imagined myself doing in the next few years was ending up chronically ill and being confined to my house for the most part. This was also why I wasn't properly insured at the time it happened and I ended up with some pretty big medical bills at first. I just didn't think I needed an insurance plan with far more coverage as I didn't really get sick.

When you look at my situation, my health prior to the onset of the disease, ... there's absolutely nothing that would even suggest I'd become this ill. All these years later the specialists don't even know what is causing this disease or even what it is, despite being in treatment with some of the best doctors in this country for the past 2 years. You never know when you might get afflicted with a seemingly random disease. And speaking from personal experience, not being prepared for that possibility can result in quite a bit of trouble. I had insurance but it was just the most basic form of it with minimal coverage. I'm not saying young people like my age (23) should go out and get expensive high coverage plans but opting to not get insurance because they think they're in great health and/or don't expect to get sick is ignorant. Such decisions could come back to haunt them, as small as that chance may be.

It's completely asinine bro. Even aside from the recklessness and activity level of young people angle. In Boston we have a 400+ bed hospital AND outpatient treatment center for CHILDREN with serious health conditions. AND 3 other hospitals specifically for children in the area. Most hospitals have pediatric wings too. I could go on and on.

But the notion of children and young adults generally being immune from medical afflictions is absolutely mind boggling.

Personally, I thought I was fine too and went without employer health insurance because it was expensive. Then I took my blood pressure one day and it was like 250/150, got some insurance asap and had to be in the hospital for a week because they couldn't bring it down though I felt fine aside from migraines I was used to. Hereditary plus not paying attention to my health and stress. How many younger folks even check their vitals or do annual physicals? you could have no idea that something is silently killing you.

I know folks in their 30s that don't even do regular check-ups and physicals. The concept of health insurance is really lost on a lot of people until it's too late, then they see how terrible it is.

Can someone abbreviate in layman's terms how Trump's action will affect the ACA?

makes competitive cheaper alternative that draws away young healthy people who didn't wanna pay expensive premiums in da 1st place which leaves da old and sicker left in da Obamacare pools, which drives up cost and premiums for them, speeding up da death spiral.

My late teens-early 20s were not a good time for me healthwise. Everyone needs insurance no matter the age.

I had to have two $50-75K procedures, one when I was 13, one when I was 18. Both required 2 week hospital stays (I actually watched Tyson-Holyfield in the hospital when I was 13). If my mom had to pay for those she would've lost her house.
