***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Some Real revisionist history in here. Acting like clinton had it so easy lol they impeached his *** over a blowjob.

They went at obama's neck from day one but i'm not gonna pretend like he didn't ram through ACA with pelosi's dumb *** singing we need to pass the bill to see what's in it. Obama is historically bad with congressional outreach. Including to his own democrats. He believes he is above kissing *** and making phone calls and playing the game. More likely to talk down to someone or try to embarrass them than convince them.

Nobody knows how to eat their own like a liberal can. Got people making clinton sound like he gets off to throwing black people in jail.

Has the right gone nuts? Yes. But the left has gone pretty damn far left as well. Jim webb wouldnt be laughed at and ostracized by dems 20 years ago would he?

Bernie sanders' dumb *** is doing extremely well. A one issue candidate that isn't even knowledgeable on his one issue.

On the trans stuff, just get rid of those massive bathrooms and have unisex single stalls like a million bars do already. Problem solved.

You and the Trump bigots are already being forced by the government not to discriminate, at least not openly cause we know damn well horrible people will always find loopholes (not saying you're horrible please don't report me again).

You hypocrite. You reported me earlier for calling you the EXACT SAME THING that you called me. And my post was deleted but yours was not. That's that NT liberal priveledge.

I have literally NEVER reported you for any comments directed at me  If i've ever reported you it was for you saying something racist or homophobic.

My inbox is full of reports from comments directed at you, you calling me "uneducated" literally doesn't strike a nerve because I know it isn't true. You are insecure, that's why you keep hitting the report button.

Meth probably saw your comment and decided to warn you as well.

YOU are insecure bc you are the one that calls me and all other conservatives uneducated, small brains, racist, bigot, etc. That's all you got. Mockery and ridicule just like Saul Alinsky taught you.

Donald Trump's campaign is fueled by bigotry so it's not exactly a stretch to conclude that someone who doggedly supports him would also be a bit of a bigot

As it happens, many of Mississippi's business owners object to the new law, among them, bakery owner Mitchell Moore, who was born and raised in Mississippi and now lives in Jackson with his wife and young family. We reached him at one of his bakeries.
MONTAGNE: Well, I do gather that you are a Republican. But you oppose this bill. So what are your particular objections, other than it sounds like you don't think it's needed?

MOORE: So leaving aside the stupidity of passing it because it decriminalizes discrimination - which, that really is kind of the biggest issue - but I can actually say I think the law of unintended consequences is going to come back to bite the people who signed this bill. If it is my sincerely held religious belief that I shouldn't serve them, then I can do that. And I can hide behind that language. But that language is so vague it opens a Pandora's box. And you can't shut it again.

MONTAGNE: Well, do you consider yourself a religious person or would you...

MOORE: Yes.

MONTAGNE: ...consider that maybe you don't understand what it means to have a deeply held religious belief?

MOORE: I don't think that there is such a thing as a deeply held religious belief that you should not serve people. There is no sincerely held religious belief to think that I am better than other people - to think that my sin is different than other people. And so I am a deeply Christian man, and those go counter to my belief system.

MONTAGNE: Why do you think your state elected officials, who presumably think they're looking out for the best interests of exactly people like you - why do you think that they passed this bill?

MOORE: The assumption that they think that they're looking out for us - that's not what they are doing. A report just came out. We rank number one - our state government is the most dependent on federal money. We are the third most obese state. We rank at the bottom in unemployment, in education. We've got crumbling infrastructure. None of them are being tackled. Instead, we are passing, hey-let's-discriminate bills.

Welp

Hillarys campaign is fueled by a rapist and sexual predator (Bill Clinton) so it's not a stretch to conclude that someone who doggedly supports her would also be a rapist.

red states rely heavily on federal aid...

they'll turn into a cesspool without bigdaddy government

When the GOP was asked for input, they offered nothing but Tort reform. They even abandoned McCain's plan

A democratically elected Congress passed the ACA. The people that needed to have a say, had a say.

Umm they thru reconciliation and paid da price for it.

Da bottomline is dems and ONLY dems voted for that bill...name 1 other MAJOR entitlement that hold such a distinction? [emoji]128064[/emoji] :nerd:

The ACA was not passed through reconciliation. I correct you on this before, there is no excuse to stay ignorant. LINK

-And you're probably right about no other major entitlement holding that distinction. But how does that reflect bad on Obama, not the GOP?

-Healthcare was a major issue in the country before 2008 elections. All three major candidates, Clinton, Obama and McCain had reform plans

-The healthcare debate went on for months. The GOP didn't even push McCain's plan, all they wanted to do to solved the healthcare problem was tort reform. Which was a joke

-Obama invited people to the White House for summits, including the GOP.

-The GOP never negotiated anything in good faith,. The republican that replaced Kennedy even ran his campaign as basically "elect me an I'll stop Obama"

-Oye, and go look up Medicare Part D, and see how partisan that was. And talk about shoved down people's thoughts, a multi-billion dollar wealth transfer scheme to drug companies that is written into the program fits that perfectly.

SO please, the GOP was asked, they choose not to act like children. And Obama still compromised with Moderates within his own party.

But the bill was passed fair and square, the people had a chance to get rid of rid, but they didn't.

-No one said Clinton had it easy, where saying Obama has it worst. Of course Clinton was given hell, they hated him because he was well liked, and told middle class southern white to have empathy and didn't ball ball all the time. Funny, the times he did play ball, it ended up in some of his worst legislation.

And the impeachment was motivated to damage the Clinton brand so he couldn't campaign for the Democrats. It was political maneuvering that motivated that move

And lets keep it #1HUNNA, if Obama had given the GOP a angle, they would have tried to impeach him too. Obama is disliked partly because he is a black northern liberal. Emphasis on black, that is what makes the difference to the GOP base. The GOP recovered from 2008, riding the wave of white nationalist by way of the Tea Party. They have been blowing dog whistles since 2010 to up hate for Obama

-You're not saying attention to the criticism Bill gets. He put political maneuvering over protecting the black community. I call call him misguided all I want but the fact remain that his direct actions opened the door for white supremacy to flourish. His bill basically became a job program for lower middle class whites, and cooperate interest to profit off the snatching of black bodies. Even if someone is willing to forgive him for that mistake, he still deserves some sort of **** you. Everyone involved does

-And you're so full of **** saying no one knows how to eat their own like a liberal can, when you know the Tea Party is outchea cooking. Saying "they have gone nuts" doesn't do their loony actions justice

There was one moderate on the GOP's side this year, Christie and Boehner got shaded for having the guts to be friendly to Obama in public. People like Eric Cantor, a far right conservative, lost in a primary because the Tea Party thought he was too liberal. The Tea Party has the GOP by the balls

And lets remember, this is the same Tea Party that protested in DC constantly right after Obama got elected, and spew all kinds of racist white nationalist nonsense.

But yeah, liberal are worst at eating their own :rolleyes

The disagreements the left is having, is way less dysfunctional that the right

-Every Dem that complain Obama didn't kiss their *** can sit down First, they benefit from his cosign when they need it, they there brought there to do a job, they should do it. And last, it is damb insulting to demand Obama, after all you know he has to deal with, come kiss you *** to do your job

The "third way" of doing things as proven to be just as be a failure on social policies as Reaganomics has been on the economics side. Jim Web should be clowned for pushing it in 2016, matter of fact he should have been clowned in 1996 given what has happen.

For decades the Democrat party was ruled by moderates, progressives where pushed to the fringe. Now the party is moving back left we need to poor out some liquor for dudes like Webb?

And I'm not against moderate Dems, and I'm all for moderate Republican to take back the party. But moderate dems are more needed at the state and local level running Southern States, than they are on the national level neutralizing good progressive policy .

Blue Dogs do a ton of good saving poor conservatives from themselves at the state level, they should stay in that lane. Suggesting half measures to help marginalized groups at the national level just leads to policies that need to be patched later down the line.

-Even though I have some problems with Bernie, and HOW he plans to get stuff done, famb spits the god damb truth on the goals this country needs to accomplish.

We need single payer, the time to provide our citizens with affordable higher education as come, their needs to be a firewall between Wall St. and Main St., black communities need national protections, we need a jobs/infrastructure program, income inequality is the major economic problem facing America and needs to be tackled, our trade deals needs suck, Citizens United is a disaster.

And he does all this bigrotry free.

If you think he is a one issue candidate, you have not been paying attention

Yes, because the judge of economic policy should be elections. :rolleyes

But I should have been clearer, I used Reaganomics as a synonym for supply-side economics. So my bad, to avoid confusion, I should have said "supply-side" economic as been a failure

-btw, I assume you will stop repeating the reconciliation lie?

And Obama's Economy is traaaaaaaaaash.

And he wants to tagteam wit da globalists to kill even more jobs? W/ TPP :x

-But Obama won both his elections, by your criteria, his economic plan is a success too.

And I'm not not gonna debate economics with you, if you think economic policy should be judge on election results.

One of the most asinine things you have ever said

And of the sloppiest right wing talking points you have ever spit

-And of course, you trying to spin you being flat out wrong on a topic I already correct you on. Child please, you didn't forget anything, you straight up didn't know what you were talking about

So ur gonna compare obama beatin 2 neutered GOP opponents vs da Reagan massacre that was 1984 & 1980?

Have we forgotten that da only reason bush won was because he was running as a 3rd term of more Reagan? (Which by da way a part gettin 3 consecutive terms has never been done since)

Obama policies was straight POISON in da midterms, he's lucky we even found out how to frack or his economic legacy would've been LEGIT worse than Carter.

The Reagan years were especially good for people who were already middle class around 1980 or earlier. You were able to have the best of both worlds in the 1980's. You had been able to get a very affordable education, get trained by your employer and have a good job and in all likelihood, a pension and health insurance through your employer. At the same time, you got the benefits of neoliberalism, your stocks and your home went up in value rapidly.

In time, the full cost of neoliberalism has revealed itself and the old momentum from the Old Economy is almost gone as more and more people with private sector pensions are dying.

We should judge economic policy by its long term effects and neoliberalism has been a disaster for most.

Reagan overcame the liberal news media and press trying to destroy him and won 45 and 49 states in his elections :x
