How I'm I moving the goal post by telling you that voter ID laws are in other places too. It goes to my point that in some states, they required ID and then made it harder for minority groups to get IDs. That is the dead giveaway

It was principled and he got to do it live on prime time on nearly every TV in America. Brilliant. He's playing chess when Trump is playing checkers. Cruz had already lost but managed to pull a stalemate.

And throwing in stuff about a) Alton Sterling, b) civil rights, and c) voting your conscience over voting for a single party... Bravo. Those are ideas that the majority of this country, especially those not drinking the kool-aid of each party's rhetoric, can get behind.

Sure he's the spawn of satan, but just like Anton on here sometimes it's the devil who can speak the truth.


It's supposed to be Trump's party yet the top 2 stories after 3 days are Melania's plagairism and Cruz's speech. Both are directly related to incompetence in the Trump campaign.

I've always had a love-hate relationship with Cruz.

And saying that Bernie sold out is your opinion. He lost and Cruz lost. Nothing they could do about it. But both have found a way to still push some of their ideas. It's politics.

I mean if Bernie felt that, as a staunch principled lifelong Democrat, Hillary did not stand for the party's principles, then I would say he shouldn't have pulled a Paul Ryan (who I and others have criticized for selling out despite Trump being opposed to many of the core issues Ryan is supposed to stand for) by supporting Hillary (after she had insulted Bernie's wife, accused Bernie's father of taking part JFK's assassination, and questioning Bernie's eligibility as a citizen...).

I'm not sure if this is the right usage of ninja's favorite phrase but it feels like you're moving the goal posts. Or, more accurately, vastly oversimplifying the situation.

That's cuz one party is completely fractured while the other had a guy espousing views and policies that were not traditionally compatible with that party he was trying to be the nominee.

If you can't step back and grasp the differences in Bernie falling in line and Rafeal rebelling against what Trump stands for (which isn't conservative or republican ideals) then there ain't much more to say.

With that said, there is a lot of hate for Donald and even though that party is so far gone and it's their own doing it's fun to see these ppl who did it to themselves now hate on what they made possible. Plus there's really not enough Republicans completely ******** on Donald at a consistent pace that he spews nonsense.

I feel like if there was just one high position guy spreading the same baseless lies and wild accusations and insults just directed at Donald constantly in the public eye that while campaign would be struggling even more.

He mentioned Alton Sterling, cool. He didn't mention how he died. He spoke on the family calling to stop the violence...and the applause was STILL muted.

The ****'s disgusting. Watching that was sad. The loudest applause is for guns. Priorities all ****** up.

I respect him not endorsing Trump, but that piece of **** doesn't deserve any praise for this half-assed speech where he seemingly threw a couple disenfranchised groups some crumbs because he knew he'd lose support in his own party when he didn't endorse Trump.

It's so transparent. Politics is a damn joke.
