Thank you all Bernie supporters who voted 3rd party yesterday. They single handily handed the vote to trump by not voting Hillary. You live and you learn I guess.

Will I still have to pay a fee for not having Obama care?
nah, no fee, and god willing you stay healthy, but you will just financially ruin your life and the lives of everyone who cares about you when a previously undiagnosed medical problem shows up.

and/or we'll all pay the bill when you use the ER like a primary care physician.

But I do believe your beliefs are misguided, highly. Even in the face of defeat you're still talking that same ****. Obviously it does not work.

What beliefs, that white privilege is a scourge that needs to be eliminated? Explain why that is wrong.

Principled people don't abandon their beliefs after defeat

May be hard for you to understand

I evolve. I don't suffer. I warned people that throwing their eggs in the Hillary was a losing battle. I tried to convince you all to find a new way and I was ridiculed and flamed.

Now look...

this election only proves that racism, sexism, intolerance, and anti-intellectualism still persist. at a time when minorities are becoming the majority, when the wealth and progress of the country is driven by immigrants and technology concentrated in liberal cities, we have enough people who cling to outdated ideas to make someone as offensive as trump the president of the world's wealthiest nation.

people weren't ignoring Trump's rhetoric when they voted for him. they were embracing it. and it wasn't limited to small town white males. selfish Latinos, Arabs, blacks, and women, even if only 10-20% of their demographic, still voted for him. that works out to tens of millions of people.

luckily the president has limited power. shame on anyone in power who enabled him or will enable him these next 4 years. there will be an accounting of traitors to our nation.

make no mistake, progressivism marches on. it doesn't move forward on every day, but over the long term it only goes in one direction. otherwise America will face a drainage of its wealth and talent.

The next 24 hours will be very interesting. I predict a lot of ignorance on display today.

This dude got elected despite the fact that he has 2 trials coming up; he hasn't even paid many of the people who ran his campaign and took part in it, and some of them are already suing him. No sound policies (or ones that will hurt us in the long run).

People want change but downplay the possibility of change being worse than the status quo. Again, very disappointed in Americans

Some people actually take the time to look at policies and don't get swayed by emotional arguments. I suppose logic is to be looked at as a political weakness; Americans want someone they can share a beer with, even if he dines and dashes afterwards I guess.

That's your issue. It's ALL racial to you. Every post you make is on that wave. And that's why you'll lose. Because nobody cares except people who believe as you do. That's why you're accepted here by the usual suspects. You preach to the choir. But unfortunately the choir is singing in a gas station bathroom and the lock is jammed, Casper told me this.

There's nothing wrong with pivoting. That's what people need to understand.

The bottom line is that we all have to live with the decision that our country made

But the idea that we should "find a new way" because the living antithesis of our values was elected is just absurd

You can call your way of dealing with this type of situation evolution if you want, but I see it as a nothing more than a lack of fortitude

If anything, this has strengthened my beliefs

I'm looking forward to Obama's statements more than anything today, especially after Hillary basically said "pfft...this is your mess lol" by not adressing her supporters/the nation.

He's been forced to play an even more important role in the future of the Dems/left in the party right from the onset

sure, majority hated both candidates but we disagreed on the best way to vote.

looking forward though, what do you propose is the best approach?

wait till trump oversteps his bounds and then encourage our representatives to impeach him? then try to get Rubio as his replacement? encourage our representatives to block all his actions, especially his supreme Court picks? should we start the left-wing version of the tea party? call it the rum and weed party?

Ah, I see. So you are one of those who thinks that by ignoring the situation, that it would simply go away. Blend in, stop complaining, get with the program, right?

trump don't even drink.

which i think is why he's so abrasive most of the time. would've done him some good to learn how to handle the occasional drink rather than become an overweight angry racist.

I literally made this same argument about Obama. People like him, a lot. As do I, I'd kick it with him. But that does not a good leader make. People don't want to have a beer with Trump. You think that he's relatable to the common man? Hell no. He won because Shillary is terrible. Obama was an empty suit and didn't deliver, and the country was tired of the status quo. They wanted actual change. And like it or not, we got it.

did dude just type this?

"he's a mysoginist"!

"he's a racist!"

"all his deplorable supporters are uneducated!"

I hate Trump as much as the next guy, but the uneducated thing is not completely accurate. There are a lot of college graduates that voted for Trump
