There's been a suggestion in some places to stop supporting the NFL. I don't know how much steam it has officially picked up...

But I DO know that there are a lot of frustrated youth out there who are fed up with the NFL's plantation type tactics. (The youth I mentioned are the ones who seemingly pushed this idea). And if you know anything about society, trends are generally started by the youth of America.

The idea behind it is for the people to come together and cause a negative impact on the ratings/=dollars.

Why continue to line the pockets of these owners who clearly don't give a **** about the people (minorities) or their plight?

Without minority participation, the NFL and NBA would be on life support, if not defunct.

This just seems like an extension of Occupy Wall Street which the adults pushed. And now these kids are coming up with their own unique ways to make an impact.

And that poll you mentioned, you have to look at the breakdown....

Also the argument is over saturation. You have games 3 days a week now, with the Thursday games usually sucking. Then you have NFL redzone which doesn't track rating and many people, especially those who do fantasy, are watching purely that.

But I agree with your point as well to some degree. Plus we also forget about the amount of people who have cut the cord.
