Rep. Will Hurd (R-Texas) is criticizing President Trump's push to build a wall on the border with Mexico.

“Building a wall is the most expensive and least effective way to secure the border,” Hurd said in a statement late Wednesday, according to The Washington Post.

“Each section of the border faces unique geographical, cultural, and technological challenges that would be best addressed with a flexible, sector-by-sector approach that empowers the agents on the ground with the resources they need.”

Trump called for the hiring of another 5,000 border patrol officers today. On Monday he signed a freeze on government hiring. He's clueless.
Stuff like that sounds good to his supporters cuz they never know what the **** is really going on ...would probly take u at least 30 mins to explain to em that the border patrol are govt workers

I wonder what email account is connected to his personal twitter account...

There is no reasoning with the GOP because the GOP has shown they don't want to have a reasonable discussion.

that's a 2 way street, as shown in da militancy of da liberalism in this thread and da potential pick for new DNC chair....

-No one in this thread are legislators. Obama was more that willing to compromise

-Stop with your dog whistle about Ellison.

Lawmakers fawn over WWE star instead of grilling Trump’s cabinet pick

Perhaps you’ve heard that Linda McMahon, President Donald Trump’s selection for Small Business Administration, was on Capitol Hill on Tuesday for her confirmation hearing. If you have, it’s likely not because of what she said during the hearing, but rather because her son-in-law, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar Triple H, came along and stole the show.
Throughout the two hours, congressmen from both sides of the aisle —including Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Sen. Tim Scott (R-NC) — did plenty of gushing about being in the presence of wrestling royalty.
Unfortunately, that didn’t leave them much time to question McMahon about the controversial business decisions in her past, such as denying workers health care, lobbying against safety regulations, and turning a blind eye to steroid scandals, sexual harassment claims, and even deaths.
McMahon, the co-founder and former CEO of the WWE, has been described as one of Trump’s “more competent” cabinet selections — faint praise in a sea of nominees like Rick Perry, who reportedly didn’t know what the Department of Energy did before accepting Trump’s nomination to lead it, or Betsy DeVos, who lacks even a rudimentary understanding of most of the battles the Department of Education faces. But her resume still deserves scrutiny.
For one, her appointment is a pretty explicit example of pay for play — something Trump railed against during the campaign. She and her husband, Vince McMahon, have an extensive history with the president. Trump hosted Wrestlemania IV and V, and even participated in Wrestlemania 23; as a result, he was inducted as a member of the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.

So we're equating GOP obstructionism on the federal level with what anonymous posters on a sneaker message board say.

Cool. I feel important.

Read this **** Bannon said:

WASHINGTON — Stephen K. Bannon, President Trump’s chief White House strategist, laced into the American press during an interview on Wednesday evening, arguing that news organizations had been “humiliated” by an election outcome few anticipated, and repeatedly describing the media as “the opposition party” of the current administration.

“The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for awhile,” Mr. Bannon said during a telephone call.

“I want you to quote this,” Mr. Bannon added. “The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.”

Hard to say since he has additional security enabled so you can't just view a partially censored version of the email when you try a password reset. You need to have his phonenumber or guess the email correctly without any hints.

I know some people who have a program that scans email addresses from twitter accounts but I'm not sure if it would bypass that setting. But either way it's probably not a good idea to snoop around the president's twitter

Being willing to compromise was Obama's problem.

My dude was too idealistic in his approach. He saw the best of/in his country to a fault and thought that he could work with the other side if he tried to build relationships with them instead of going all ruthless, campaign Obama mode and taking no prisoners as a 2 time elected president with the bully pulpit on his side since he was popular,a hell of a lot more popular than them too.

Dude learned the hard way that playing golf with and trying to be friends with the same folks who'd never say a positive word about him publically was futile. They were never gonna play ball,he was gonna have to be forceful with them or be resigned to the gridlock
