Because I have looked into his politics. I don't want a moderate, with no political experience, that wished the two major right wing parties would be less loony so he could join, to be the president.

Technically, Milo would be a Hebephile and is attracted to male persons who are undergoing puberty as opposed to Pedophiles who are attracted to persons who are prepubescents.

Michael Jackson was a Pedophile, Milo Yiannapolous is a Hebephile and most adult human beings are Ephebopiles (attracted to post pubescent youths, 16 to 20 or so range).

Every "great" troll has a soupcon of truth in their schtick. On certain questions, certain parts of the left wing constituency finds itself unable to have a nuanced discussion about something. In this case, we have age of consent laws and a number of feminists do not want there to even be a discussion of lowering the age of consent from 18 to something a little bit lower.

This is a bit of a blind spot for American feminists since AoC being 15 or 16 is the norm in most of the developed world (including nations with much better laws on major feminist issues). The high American AoC is a relic of Patriarchy and it causes liberal feminists to find themselves in league with religious conservatives. Add to that the emotionally charged nature of the subject of protecting young people as well as the sexual nature of the subject and you have a perfect target for Milo the troll.

If you want to troll, you see where their is some confusion and hypocrisy and inconsistency on your mark. Ideally it is an issue that is highly charged and then you pounce and all the while suggest things that are objectively horrible. Finish up by generalizing on issue among one subset.

Milo's mark was feminists. The issue was age of consent laws. Sex and the protection of children are very important issues. Milo suggested that the age of consent should be lower to protect people who are objectively child rapists and he warped up by saying that "the left" wants to police all sexual relationships and cannot ever have a rational conversation about anything ever.

but seriously... i otherwise agree with your analysis. it's what makes Milo such a successful troll. he finds something that we find objectionable but could be debated, and then he takes it to the extreme.

a similar argument could be had about nudity. there's really no great reason why we shouldn't walk around nude in suitable climates. clothes are expensive and cumbersome and enforce class status. but i walk into Walmart naked and people lose their minds.
