I'm very interested as I have thought about doing this with my fiancee for a couple months now. What do you have in mind? I'm currently not in college anymore. Graduated with my degree 3 years ago. PM if interested and we can discuss further.

I stay in Houston but Im goin to school in San Antonio but im down to be apart of something big.

if this offer is still up hit my Pm.. im interested in looking/and or creating a business plan for a venture like this. It would be a good look for houston considering we only have 1 consignment shop and a total of 3 "streetwear/lifestyle/skate stores in the city that are up to date.. either way im known in the community and would love to work on a project like this.

Heard it is hard to get good Nike accounts.  Have always wanted to do this but never invested the time and effort into it.  I am also not in college anymore, graduated 6 years ago.  I would like to hear what you have drawn up so far.

More like impossible. Pretty sure they have to look through your investment/business/management history, credit history, crim history, the whole 9 yards. Your average dude will have a very hard time getting that. (not saying you are an average guy, for all i know you could be some tycoon). Good luck.

there are several consignment shops throughout houston... and yes a jb account is hard to obtain especially for limited releases. Ive always been interested in the idea as well...

consignment is totally different from getting any nike account, be it nike sb or what not. i dont even think consignment has anything to do with nike as they are only providing the service. if they are buying the products and reselling, i think thats when nike steps in and messes around. i could be wrong

I was referring to the guy saying they're only one consignment shop...

Easiest thing to do is talk to a owner of a shop that has a account... Back in 07 I had a chance to talk to the rep that deals with active athlete when a friend was trying to get a store going and the rep acted as if it was no big deal.

HMMM, MIGHT HAVE TO LOOK INTO THIS. I ALREADY HAVE THE CAPITAL TO OPEN ONE, JUST NEED THE CONNECT.

how much capital is capital. there's going to be a saturation point. i think at this point, leaping into a sneaker game 3-4 years late wouldn't be a great play. especially in houston, everyone is pretty cheap in houston

FROM MY CURRENT BUSINESS, I HAVE A LOT OF CAPITAL. BUT YES, YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT SNEAKERS. EXCEPT I HAVE SOMETHING A BIT DIFFERENT IN MIND IN REGARDS TO IT

If u would of done it 3-4 years ago, you'll be golden right now.... With new shops and online joints popping up every few months, it's gonna be tough but not impossible.... I would suggest specializing in one generation gap.... Family, Mom and pop, or Young and reckless gen type of stores are what tend to have longevity.... Mom and Pop shops like Active and Sf2 have to focus on clothing along with footwear to keep there QS accounts... The mega retailers like Foitlocker and Champs have to follow strict corporate rules and regs... I've seen managers come and go... The shoe game is tough out here ... PG is the model store I would shoot for if I was to start one up!!! Location is Key!!!!!
