Liam was more Jedi in Batman Begins than he was Phantom. He had literally no worthy dialogue in Phantom at all. He could/should have been so much better.

Then Batman Begins comes out, and it's like........? Where was this 5 years ago? :frown:

That's why I liked him, he wasn't a traditional Jedi in the sense that he was vanilla. He played along with Padme's identity charade and saw right through the chick. Dude was literally telling the council that he was gonna train Anakin whether they liked it or not. And he used the force to cheat in gambling, who does that?

Plus, he found the key to immortality :smokin

Dude, just shut up. All you do is whine and complain like a baby, it's annoying. We get it, you don't like the prequels. Quit acting like Lucas ruined your mid-40s with those movies.

Qui-Gon this, Jar Jar that, 8 year old Anakin this, he only killed younglins that..Wa wa wa wa ******* wa...

And why are you even excited about Dark Disciple novel? It's based off of unfinished Clone Wars scripts that are all from the mind of Lucas.

Funny, I thought I was talking to Jay and we were speaking about Qui Gon/Liam, and I mentioned another movie he made in a similar role.

By all means tho, if my posts hurt your feelings you are free to put me on ignore.

JJ said the numbers of the cards have some significance.

67, 11, 53, 74, 76.

Hmmmm, nothin I see off the top. Page numbers of somethin? Words of dialogue?

Does he mean just these 5 cards, or a whole set, or?

Minutes into the movie of the scene? :nerd:

I'm still thinking on this. Really like your point on the cheating on gambling, and defying the counsel.

He was still wooden as hell, but your points are valid. I'm trying to think of a comparison for him, just haven't come up with it. He was a sensitive fellow, so he's not "evil" in any way, but not really Jedi-y either with his actions. Sort of......"dark Jedi" but not really dark? :\

He did kidnap the kid from his mom.

I'm telling you, had he not been killed, him and Dooku would've started a new "tweener" group between the Jedi and Sith.

Imagine Dooku, Qui-Gon, with Anakin under their tutelage? :smokin

Here's the full list from the EW article http://insidemovies.ew.com/2014/12/11/star-wars-the-force-awakens-character-names/

J.J. Abrams, the film’s co-writer and director, and Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, have decided to reveal the identities of some of their new characters exclusively to EW—and they’ve done it in a retro fashion that should bring a smile to anyone familiar with the phrase “Collect ‘Em, Trade ‘Em.”

That was the catchphrase of the Topps trading card company, which in addition to baseball players and comic book characters put out a series of collectible cards featuring scenes and characters from around the galaxy for the original 1977 Star Wars movie.

There were five rounds of Topps cards for that movie, each one designated by a different color, with red and blue leading the line-up. Right now, Abrams and Kennedy have mocked up three from the red series, and five from the blue series.

Will we get more some day? Perhaps…

There’s certainly much more to reveal. We haven’t yet seen Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, or Max von Sydow—let alone any of the veteran stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, or Carrie Fisher. And we’ve heard, but not seen, Andy Serkis. (Someday we may see similar reveals with yellow, green, and orange borders.)

“I’m only sorry we couldn’t give everyone a stick of gum,” Abrams says.

Here’s a rundown of the reveal, listed in order of their collectible card number, with some analysis and speculation thrown in for good measure. (Asked if there was significance to the numbering, Abrams replied: “YES.”) Time to get on that, Bothan spies.

• #11 — BB-8 on the move
• #53 — Poe Dameron in his X-Wing
• #67 — Kylo Ren ignites his Lightsaber
• #74 — Rey on her Speeder
• #76 — Finn on the run
• #81 — Stormtroopers prepare for battle
• #88 — X-Wings in formation
• #96 — The Millennium Falcon

Those who have followed this movie for a long time remember that there was this girl who was rumored for the film. Everyone was saying she had a role. But Disney never came out and said anything. Masie Richardson-Sellers
