Official Houston Rockets 2013 Offseason Thread: Welcome D12 to Houston!

Rotations, rotations nowhere  :smh: I do hope you're right RoseGold about McHale possibly just trying to get a feel for everybody, cause if not, we're begging to squander potential back to backs. Loved what I saw in Aldrich. he has some pretty nice moves, and making the best of the opportunities he didn't get in OKC. If he keeps that up, this could be a potential steal, and probably wouldn't take much to keep. Once Greg Smith gets back healthy, that backstage center position could be loaded. If only Asik could make his putbacks  :x He could easily have 15 points/15+ boards a night.

Sloppy isn't a strong enough word to describe the Rockets right now. And it looks like McHale is stuck on these non-rotating rotations

Went to the home opener. And went to the game tonight vs the Nuggets. Offense is frustrating to watch to say the least. P Patterson is balling. Seeing him shooting 3s is a bit funny. Asik is so damn clumsy...and the three point shooting has been :x

I'll be at the game again Wednesday vs the Hornets just for the Jeremy Lin bobble heads. first 3500 fans get em.

i have bio lab wednesday nights at 6:30-9:20 or else i would've went last night and probably would go next weekend :smh:

Bio lab from 6:30-9:20 :x I was (sort of) fortunate enough to have a Physics lab from 3:10-6:00 and Chem from 12pm-3pm. I would've lost it if I had to have a lab that late.

I know it's only 4 games in, but I am completely disgusted in these 8-9 man rotations and in-game adjustments. It mirrors just what happened last year, but what's worst is that McHale is doing nothing about it. Last year, there were tons of games where he went with a lame rotation like that, yet he actually made adjustments and infused life into the team. I don't know if ya'll remember a game at Denver last year, where we were sluggish just like this, then McHale randomly puts in Jeff Adrien and he abused Denver on the boards and amped up everybody else on the team. So you mean to tell me that Jones, White, and Donatas wouldn't have more of an impact then him, especially going forward???

McHale should be fired. It's obvious why a lot of people weren't happy when he was initially hired.

I loved the way sampson coached today. I know it was just the pistons we played but the rockets looked better out there. The rockeys were moving better thanks to different screens and better spacing on the court. O and he actually has ROTATIONS. I'd rather 9-10 players play and us lose than what mchale has been doing.

**** mchale fire that man.

^You pretty much beat me to it. A total of 13 guys played, but the bulk of the minutes were spread out between 10 guys, which is pretty much how it should be. Smith & Jones didn't score much, but that still played a combined 24 minutes, which helps out huge for the starters.

Toney Doulgas played 20 minutes...and got 11 points. Are we on Mars  ? It's the Pistons, and we got Miami next. I hope we're prepared is an understatement.

I wish I was in Houston today, I would've loved to go to the game. I'm going to try and catch a few games this year while I'm on my winter break.

i apologize for not updating the thread over the weekend, got my aggie ring and really was out of it for a while. anyways, miami coming to town, we're getting smacked tonight :frown:

Look at us trying to keep this game close  Rockets trying not to embarrass themselves in front of Andre, Foster, and Mercilus

WELP. This would have been a fantastic win for these young guys. Now all you have are wasted efforts and...ugggghh...the dreaded "growing pains."

Royce and the Rockets at it again. This whole situation just doesn't seem resolvable. :smh:

it's ridiculous. he's upset he didn't get the opportunity to earn minutes. uhh royce, that's what training camp is for. you know, the training camp you wouldn't show up to? yeah that thing. i'm sorry for his mental issues and hope he can resolve them, but this is just a weird situation in general.

I can't stand how Royce has made himself a victim in all of this, especially since I've really been pulling for him. The Rockets went out their way to do everything for him, and he only started portraying the victim when he was assigned to NBADL. The only thing worse than that are all the retweets from him of people constantly claiming "The the they just don't know what you go through"....which is ironic since they obviously don't know how much the Rockets have tried to accommodate him.

I got my Jeremy Lin bobble head the other night!

Anyways, No comment on Royce White. We took the risk, and now we gotta deal with it.

Rockets looking real solid right now on the road vs Portland. :pimp:

EDIT: played terrible down the stretch. :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh:

As a young team, you expect them to not be able to close out. Hopefully they work on their late-game offense. Instead of just putting it in Harden's all the time they should probably actually run some set plays.

Hopefully we can get a win vs. Chicago.

Currently this team looks to be about the same as last year. But if they're going to suck then suck properly.
