Calvin Johnson's Megatron Inspired CJ81 Collection: Release Info

^, Thank you sir! I think everyone like me is wondering if anymore CW's will be released but probably not, since its nearing the end of the NFL season now. Maybe release a playoff edition one if the Lions manage to make the playoffs??
 
Ordered the black and gold pair for my son for Christmas. Was trying to go with the most neutral pair they had for everyday wear. He's really into transformers and I assumed all pairs came with the megatron symbol on the back, epic fail on my part lol.

I cant lie that was funny to read, but I do feel bad for you...
 
I figured someone would get a kick out of that. The actual megatron pair is sitting on shelves here locally. I was after the SC pair for myself hard.but no luck.
 
^Well, at least you could potentially still go get the Megatrons. Finally got my Motor Citys and Fright Nights from Eastbay today; they are just awesome in person but man, I was disappointed that the outsole on the Fright Nights didn't have the gold sparkles in the outsole like the NDC pics showed. I knew they were just the regular red outsole but it still sucked haha.

I was the opposite. If the lions and the mc's didn't have the speckles I would have probably picked those up too. It's almost the perfect shoe to me. Stylish, comfy, and cheap compared to other top shoes.
 
I agree that the Lions CW should not have had the speckles, but the MC's definitely, IMHO, look sick with that effect. I would have preferred a darker midsole too, the white kinda looks out of place. Nike showed such a different pic of the Fright Nights though, different outsole, white/black laces instead of the black/red it came with. I just don't know why they always have wrong pics of their own product, while other websites that show the same shoe have the correct picture.
 
^, Nice collection! I got the three I want, Fright Nights, Megatrons, and Motor Citys. I wanted the volts but I am not gonna spend an inordinate amount of money to try and obtain them. I think Nike has a winner on its hands, finally a cross-training shoe for an elite athlete in great CW's that the public likes. I hope the second version doesn't disappoint and hopefully they incorporate Zoom Air soon into his shoe. I can see this line going on for at least five editions.
 
Man I got a shipping notification from CityGear, now I have an email where they refunded me cost of the trainers

Now that it looks like all is said and done on this shoe...think my favorites were the Tigers, and the Black/blues. 

I will always remain feeling slighted we never got the silver/Honolulu blue pair. 
 
^, Tigers? Oh the baseball ones? I agree, the silver/Honolulu pair was really really missing from the CW's, they would have been snatched up fast. Still don't understand the $10 price hike on the Fright Nights either...
 
wow end has some super fast shipping, just ordered this morning, and its supposed to be at my house by 1030 a.m. thursday.. thats nuts.  pretty excited about these trainers..

yeah, price hike of $10 on the FN but the nike x tf regular retail price with an extra toy, nike LeBron FI was an extra $50 for a lace lock.....not complaining though on the CJ81's though great deal

these things are gonna get axed imo. every cw except the purple ones have gone to clearance. i love the shoe (sandy), didn't feel any other colorways. brown sole thing on the latest ones were just bizarre 
 
dtlr.com has the lions in sizes 8.5, 9, 10.5, 11, 12 for 69.98 also the tigers are 69.98 with sizes 8.5-11.5
