When jimmy johnson was our DC, we ran a 4-3 1 gap attacking scheme.. Within that system both DTs were actively trying to shoot gaps and played the run on the way to the QB

Bennie logan and thronton.. And to a much lesser extent cox.. Are mainly trying to occupy the oline to open gaps for the linebackers and prevent the oline from getting to the second level

On run plays they disengage and occupy a gap.. With the linebackers behind them having the obligation of filling the other gaps.. The OLBs have the responsibilities of containing the edges

this information is readily available.. Please, go look it up.. But thronton is more than just a 'run stuffer'

Although valid, this does not detract from the fact that Thornton plays the run better than the pass. I understand what you're talking about, because I know what a 3-4 defense is set up to do. However on an individual basis, Thornton is looked as a big body that plays the run, which again, is a run stopper. Does he primarily shoot gaps as you alluded to in this scheme? No. But he makes the majority of his production on the run.

wouldn't mind fisher in the 2nd.. would love him in the 3rd

tobin goes to LG if/when mathias is moved.. then fisher would be a good fit at RG with the ability to move out to RT (with the idea that we move lane to LT eventually)

tj clemmings is a guy who I'm sure we'll heavily consider at 20, if he's there.. more talented version of what I said above

I've been saying this all along, QBs fall in the draft these days. Too many teams are already financially commented to QB long term. After last year draft where both Manziel and Bridgewater fell no doubt in my mind MM8 will suffer a similar fate.

In that scenario I'd want chip to trade next years first to get another first round pick. That way you can draft MM8 as your future QB and also be able to draft talent at safety, guard, and wide receiver with the current picks the eagles own.
 
If Mariota was to fall to us at 20, I'll still want Bradford to be the starter. It allows us to see if Bradford can run the offense (which I believe he could) and groom Mariota. 
 
I think a couple of top 5, top 10 teams were banking on us giving up the farm..

Gotta hand it to chip, he's selling this hard

No chance we take DGB with his off the field concerns

really hope Devante slips but I doubt it ..would love to see how Chip would use a guy like Dorsett

options in the 2nd that I like are Devin Smith from Ohio St. and Nelson Agholor from USC. Both are more lean framed guys, Smith is more of a burner and Agholor runs clean routes and has good hands. I can see Chip valuing a guy like Smith because he can stretch the field and play ST too. IDK if we grab one of the top prospects in the 1st. Smith actually looked up to Mac, wore #9 because of him apparently

He makes a heck of an adjustment to the ball at 2:05


I can see him thriving in the slot or even outside. says he models game after Antonio Brown

Mariota doesn't fit what gruden wants.. and they just went through the rg3 experience

Like the titans, I think their interest has more to do with us than them

I have been in Disney so all this news has come in bits and pieces, craziest offseason I ever remember

I like the 3 headed monster idea of running the ball
 
Man I'm really not sold on Bradford at all , I just don't like the trade . Hopefully they trade him or something .

exactly , why take such a risk on a guy like that , Foles win games at the end of the day and dont try to compare receivers that Stl had for Sam and Foles had for Philly , Sam is one hit away from retiring .
