** Soccer/Futbol/Football Feet, Kits and Gear - 2013 **

i know there are a lot of gooners on here that might find this interesting. french fashion house lanvin has just been named tailor to the arsenal. they'll be providing formal suiting to the team as pictured below. i remember having to suit up on away matches as a schoolboy. now the arsenal has a proper first dress too. looks a hell of a lot better than nike grand slam polo shirts. the only thing that i take issue with is their use of a french fashion house instead of a perfectly good savile row tailor close to home (insert arsene wenger preferring french to british footballing talent joke here).

^ the deal was only formally announced, but it seems to have been in place for a while now. the players were suited up for the home match vs. liverpool. for the home match vs. stoke which coincided with the 125th anniversary of the club in the borough of islington, the players were apparently given bow ties to wear. i would love to see what that looked like. google lanvin, and within the first couple of hits, you'll find great info on the arsenal deal. runs for the next 2 years.

They don't break in and they don't soften up at all. They feel like your feet are enclosed in glass. Like they're very uncomfortable when you try them on sitting down, not moving.

SF2 was a complete abomination. Nike flat out got that one wrong.

Still love that voltage cherry color way though, yea ya boy wore pink boots. :lol:

They've made them for all the big clubs under nike. i'll probably cop the arsenal pair. It says "gunners" on it. Don't think they're as cool as the NFL Vapor gloves from last year, but they're ok. Would have been better if they used the cannon instead of text, but whatever. They didn't even use the right font though. Missed opportunity more than anything...
 
Pics of Arsenal gloves? And are they goalie gloves, or gloves that players use to keep a
warm? Just curious...

Barça gloves look lovely!!!
 
The gloves are for fans in the stadium to wear. They have been on ndc for a while now. Not sure what all teams, but I know they have MUFC.
 
Those gloves are trash, they should keep them in the NFL.



I done goofed and missed out on another pair of Seaweed Vapor 8s with SG soleplate, they were just $99.99 :frown: :smh:

I need em at like $15ish...

I kind of want em now, as I play 2-3 times a week OUTSIDE in this brick weather as the spot i play at has a roof but is technically outside....

The place you play with the roof, is it a turf field? If so it sounds nice.

If I get any Christmas $$$, I might cop the Barca ones... I'm outside kicking the ball around with my son enough. I got him some Nike gloves for him to wear from this local Soccer shop. Found them & a pair of goalie gloves (for him) on clearance.

My little man is starting his indoor (16 games) & futsal (8 games) seasons. He told the coach he wants to try playing some goalie since the goals are smaller.

Yeah man the spot is on turf... We usually rent it a couple times a week and play 7v7 or 6v6.... its about the size of a typical indoor field (it used to be an old outdoor hockey rink)...

Let me know if you find the Barca ones under retail, I'm really feeling those as well (since I'm a Barsenal fan, lol)...

Good luck to your lil man, hopefully he's as good between the posts as he is as a fullback...
