The Official Tennis Thread (Vol. 2024 Oz Open Nadal Out)

But good to see Grisha back in the top 10.
Has been playing so well over the past 6-8 months.

Fell asleep, but nice to see the new world number two finally win Miami after losing in the final a couple times. There's gonna be a one next to Sinner's name by the end of the year, maybe even as soon as Roland Garros, with Djokovic defending so many points at the majors this year.

Tough loss for Grigor. Hopefully he can carry some of this momentum onto his worst surface for the next couple of months.

I'm no fan of Rune, but I did find it strange that the ump gave him an unsportsmanlike warning for the talking-hand thing. 🤷‍♂️

Muguruza calls it a day at just age 30, such a waste she had the potential to achieve so much more.

It was fun while it lasted.

Took a sabbatical and probably lost interest in grinding it out and climbing back up the ladder on the tour.

Gonna get married as well so I guess she's well taken care of, would love to be able to take a long sabbatical as well.

Rybakina wins her third title this year in Stuttgart today, but she isn't allowed to drive the new Porsche that comes with the trophy.

Yesterday (after beating Iga for the fourth time):

Today:

Played the TopSpin 2K25 2 hour trial offer for PS Plus Premium.

Game is fun and definitely hit you with dat nostalgia.

My brother was kicking my *** in the singles matches we played.

Doubles was fun and chaotic was finally getting the best of him in that when the trial expired.

Will definitely be picking this up down the line.

Hoping they really fill out the roster by then because IT is barebones right now.

Gameplay is fun, but the rest of game is just straight forward. Which, I don't mind at all. Reminds me of the old NBA 2k games before they did all that myplayer storyline BS.

Finally hit level 8 last night lol.
