“The Following,” which stars Kevin Bacon as Ryan Hardy, a burned-out former F.B.I agent, is one of the most disturbing procedural dramas on television, in its own way creepier than similar network shows and even cable series like “Dexter” or “Breaking Bad” or “The Walking Dead.”

It’s hard to turn off and even harder to watch.

I'm really looking forward to this. It seems to be pretty interesting. The reviews I've read have been all over the place. One of the problems that some of the critics have is that the show seems to be entirely too violent. I'm going to give it a try...I have high hopes.

I'm gonna give this show a chance. I haven't heard anything about it until your post - thanks for the heads up, OP.

Got the DVR set to record! Heard Kevin Bacon on Howard Stern last week and he talked it up fairly well so hopefully it's good.

Been waiting for this to premiere. Looks interesting but depending on how they do it I can see it being a great show or being another one of those over dramatized forced situations dramas. I'm hoping for the former. I don't usually hold my breath for network TV anymore.

i feel like they have been promoting this show since last October.. might watch after some NT opinions.

The commercials make me wanna tune in, I'll check out the first ep and see what its all about

I saw a commercial that didn't even tell you to tune in. It just asked that you to set your DVR. I did just cuz they kept it reasonable.

show is good, i'm surprised with the amount of gore they showed on network TV.... silence of the lambs tv show.....i recommend, i can see this show having good 3-4 seasons but shouldnt go longer than that......and you already know one of those FBI agents is a follower

This kinda wants to be Luther or Se7en the series, but it's more Criminal Minds with a side of Bacon right now.

I don't really do network procedurals, but it feels like they're aiming higher than those CBS shows, so I'll keep watching.

And where did Iceman come from??
This dude don't age, just like Elijah and Pharell.

Good start. Iceman finding some recent work. Girl from taken that runs funny making a cameo. It had a good pace and minimal sappy drama. Imagine if this was on HBO, the atmosphere/details would have been insane supported by proper situation language plus delved into even a more darker route  :wow:

Gives me something to watch on mondays now. Last fox show i watched was x files.

EDIT: dudes on imdb are no joke, harsh critics on there.

Surprised by how violent this show is. I flinched when ol' girl shoved that ice pick in her eye.

Watched the pilot today :pimp: . I was :wow: when the two guys next door and babysitter were in on it. Makes me feel like every person they come across is gonna be a follower

Watched it on DVR last night. Finally had some time to catch up.

I was blown away at how good/suspenseful the show was. Reminded me of Se7en, Silence of the Lambs, and Saw. I'm hooked.

Can't wait for tonight. This seems like a sort-of groundbreaking show for network TV with it's gore.

The twist w/ the nanny and the gay couple was :wow: Never saw that coming.
