"American Gangster" was a damn classic! Masterpiece! The production is on par with any of Hov's projects. Actually, besides "Reasonable Doubt" & "The Black Album" this probably comes in 3rd place for best production.

However, Kanye's albums definitely supersede "American Gangster". Me and OP do not see eye to eye..

AG is so overrated on here.

It is nowhere near his top 3 albums and its laughable to say it is better than CD or LR.

Any Kanye album???? Ummmm, no. It's not better than LR nor CD. Definitely better than the rest of his stuff though, including MBDTF & WTT. If those awful Hello Brooklyn & Blue Magic songs were taken off, the album would be even better.

I completely agree and i felt like he took advantage of the movie to make this album. I mean it was good compared to his another stuff. A lot of Jay-Z Albums have tons of filler but AG wasn't trash though. Back to the original question it is not better then CD for sure and i have to go back and listen to LR but i don't feel like its better than that either.

Man, all the misplaced hate. But most of u dudes would say Future is better than Hov so I dig it. Album was one of Jay's better concept albums from start to finish. Wouldn't agree about it being better than any Kanye album though, that's just foolish

I can tell ya 1 thing tho, most of Kanye's albums outsold AG easily...Which Cd's yall like more is personal preference, but #'s usually tell the tale and give a good overall general consensus. Just my input.

A lot of this was on point. Espeically the Late Registration thing, it is his best album, followed by MBDTF. If youre counting Black Album as the back half like I do cause it was after the first 6 then I'm giving it to that.

1. MBTDF is Kanye's best album. idc idc idc. if you can't see HEAR the genius in that album you suck.
2. it is better than AG....CD is better than AG....LR is better than AG...Graduation is better than AG...yes....accept life as it is.
