It'll be funny if the most popular DQ game in the west is a minecraft inspired version.

Had a convo about NMS during a UC4 run with some NTers. I just don't get the hype for this game at all. Outside of discovering planets, what the hell is there to do? What's the objective, end game? Game looks beautiful but seems boring as hell.

Objective is to explore. There are other things to do but the purpose of the game is exploration and everything was designed with that in mind. If that's not enough of a hook then the game isn't for you which sounds a bit elitist but it's true. Every game isn't for everyone and sometimes it's as simple as that.

That's the vibe I'm getting. I want to check it out because it looks beautiful but for $60 I want a game I can play and do stuff. I want to do more than explore

I'll still hold judgement until reviews and twitch streams come out.

It took me two tries b/c I looked at a piece wrong. It reminded me of the floor puzzle from U3 that I screwed up so badly.

Not for me but only because it looks and sounds like a massive time sink. Great for MMO players though.

It looked so good

The game is fun though. If you loved those arcade button mashers from back in the day this will take you back.

Just rent it from Red Box for a couple of days and you will get all the value out of it you need.
