Free Knack companion game released for iOS

Sony has released a free Knack companion game for iOS devices via the iTunes store.

The app, titled Knack's Quest, is a tile-matching puzzler in which players can collect items which can be transferred and used in the PS4 launch game.

According to the description, the Knack app is "a simple puzzle game in which you collect 3 or more of the same type of parts. Collecting parts will make Knack grow larger - reach the maximum size within the time limit to clear the stage."

The game also features an Endless mode, in which there's no target other than to wrack up the biggest score you can.

The 'Item Send function', which will link the iOS game to its PS4 counterpart, will be added in "the next software update" at an undisclosed date.

You can download the app free from iTunes.

Knack is a PS4-exclusive platform adventure game directed by PS4 lead system architect (and former Crash Bandicoot dev) Mark Cerny. It will launch alongside the PS4 later this month.

Cerny has described the game as "kind of a mash-up between a Pixar-style animated movie and a character action game".

Android get's no love again like the ifruit app for GTA V which took over a month to get released on the Android store :lol:

Employee price is $399. Not too shabby at all

Cant wait for launch. I will predict the future and I will most certainly be feeling "under the weather" on Nov 15... nomsayin :lol:

I'm not one for midnight releases but if you pre-ordered in-store at Gamestop, pick it up at midnight.
 
So here we go again. Didn't matter if you were the first or fiftieth to get a preorder. Doesn't matter if you have it paid off. It all comes down to how early you get in line on 11/14. I and most likely everyone else with a GS preorder will have just as much luck at a PS4 as those in any of the other non-preorder lines that night/morning. enough consoles to cover all their preorders but they don't have the official number yet. Just that there's not enough. Sigh.

So here we go again. Didn't matter if you were theI had long been dreading this after my only other console preorder (PS2)turned out exactly like this. Despite all the promises GS had been giving me. I had $20 left in taxes to pay off on my PS4 preorder so I just got back from doing that on my way home. We're so close now that I figured it's time to ask how this is going down on next Thurs. night. The girl assistant manager at mine has always been very honest with me in the past and it was only her. The manager is one of those types that has memorized the weekly pitch sheet but can't answer any real question and he wasn't there. 

Midnight launch. Come early (time not know yet) to pay off if you need to but either way get a number. Consoles will be handed out based on that number. She said they already know that they will not be receiving enough consoles to cover all their preorders but they don't have the official number yet. Just that there's not enough. Sigh.

Sucks but that's more than likely how it'll play out for many people. The manager at the gamestop near me said that specific systems will be matched to preorders via serial number. I told him it sounded like a lot of work but that's his plan. Let's see if he follows through.
