The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Couldn't have said it any better my dude.

Y'all mad thirsty on here for PS4. You guys really act like they won't have consoles in y'all city on release date.

calm down people, you'll be able to purchase the consoles if not at one store, than the next. They ain't Bred 11's or 88' Threes.

Homie people were getting shot over PS3 at launch lol. No one's buying a Wii U and the vast majority of people prefer PS4 over the one right now. Amazon and alot of Gamestops already can't guarantee a launch system. It'll be very very hard to find one in stores the first couple of months unless you know your stores delivery schedule.
yea son you're way off.. and how are you going to use two jordans that restocked 2 times..

these preorders seem to be going quick. amazon made it so easy, it makes me wish i'd ordered extras to flip

Yeah i hesitated with amazon, and now all the guaranteed rd orders are done..what more could i have asked for.. you get your system on rd, and no money is taking out until they ship

For those planning on flipping, better hope that you don't get stuck with them like the WiiU. I don't think this is going to be anything like the PS3 or Wii when it comes to availability. Pre-orders are being taken well in advance.

I have to agree with this....for the record government worker checking in  so know the struggle. But they are taking a lot of pre-orders and there will still be consoles available in stores...im assuming they will judge those numbers by how many pre-orders they get. So they will probably have a better idea of demand this time around.

factor in the dudes with 0 money or the kids that didn't even know it was a one day pre order.. the kids that have no credit card.. supply will not meet demand right away

$0 out of pocket with the option to return is pretty safe

and there's absolutely no chance you'll be able to just walk into a store and buy one on launch day.

i still plan on keeping my rd order, but if they're selling for double? i'll gladly flip it and buy one for myself a week/month later

$29,999.00 (Not a typo)

Folks snorting that pure.

I pre-ordered my PS4 through gamestop. Not a fan of gamestop. I wanted to go through amazon, but they're known to Oversell even if you were one of the first people to pre-pay.

Def. looking forward to Destiny and The Division. Pre-ordered Battlefield 4 though too. The idea of dropping an entire skyscraper during a MP match my dude? Yea. Copped. Also, Watch Dogs is somethin i been hyped for months about. The whole cyberpunk hacking though your phone deal is pretty ill to me.

For those that missed the sony conference peep www.fatkidsocialclub.com/2013/06/ps4-conference-highlights.html <--- I put a majority of the dope **** on there.

They're not getting anywhere near that kinda money.
A lot of PS3s sold for thousands on ebay after release.
I remember for PS2 release people were selling PS2 boxes for $1000, and people were dumb enough to bid on it thinking it was system.

There's going to be way more PS4s available at launch than there were PS3s. That's a fact. In the city I went to college too, there were maybe 100 units available for a city of 100K with one of the Best Buy's receiving 20. It won't be like that this time around. They won't be in abundance, but its not going to be like finding the golden ticket.

When i hit up GS they had a ton of PS4s allocated for their store (around 50) while the XB1 was only 8-14 per store for pre-order. They expect the demand to be there. As of right now, i see people buying the PS4 3 to 1 for every XB1 sold. It is gonna be nuts. Thats why i pre-ordered mine with the quickness.

I was about to say the same thing.

I remember the lines at Best Buy DAYS before the PS3 dropped. It was madness. I think it was either a Nov/Dec release. Even in January, they were hard to come by. When I copped mine it was on a whim. I had just moved to a new house and needed to get a blender or something at Target. Passed by the electronics section and there was one PS3 left. And it's still going strong

Anyways, good on GS, BB, Wal-Mart, Amazon, etc. for making the purchasing process that much easier and not having to deal with the hassle of camping out. I think there will be more than enough of these units on hand for people to buy. Sony wants a strangle-hold on the market, and what better way to lure frustrated XBox consumers over to their side than to have more than enough PS4s on hand to buy...
